Position Highlights

A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Pikes Peak Ave & N 21st
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Thursday 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 40 to 42 hours per week. They would love extra help on an occasional friday, however it is not required.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 6 months with the opportunity to extend.
Start Date: ASAP

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children a newborn and 4 year old.
About the Children:

The oldest child is energetic and athletic, and she attends school half-days, so the nanny will assist with pick-up and drop-offs. The family's newest addition is a healthy and happy baby girl who is settling into a good routine. As she grows, the family plans to follow a consistent sleep schedule and incorporate gentle "cry-it-out" methods to support her sleep habits. They are also open to the nanny taking both children on outings to enjoy fresh air at the park and explore age-appropriate activities outside the home

About the Family:
  • Dual working parents who are both in the military.
  • Mom works from home occasionally but is mainly at the base.
About the Pets:
  • There is one sweet dog in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • This family had a great relationship with their last nanny. They are excited to find another great fit!
  • As a military family, they are seeking an initial six-month commitment. If they have the opportunity to remain in Colorado longer, they would be thrilled to extend the nanny's role beyond that period.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties include planning activities, children's laundry, washing bottles, and dishes, picking up after the children, sanitizing, and organizing toys.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of experience with infants and toddlers.
  • Previous experience working with 2+ children at a time.
  • Must be on time and a morning person.
  • CPR & 1st Aid
  • The ideal candidate for this family will be present, engaged, and reliable, bringing energy, creativity, and a warm, loving approach to every day. They should excel at setting clear boundaries while maintaining a fun and nurturing environment. Flexibility is key, as an understanding of dual military family schedules is essential, with the ability to adapt when mom and dad’s timing isn’t always predictable.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $23-$28/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $47,000 - $58,000 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering paid major holidays, paid sick days, gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • EX: This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement of $150-$350/month and relocation assistance based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • T-dap vaccination is required, and the flu-shot is highly desired.
