You can count on them to follow your child’s daily schedule, research and plan educational, engaging activities, prepare the kid’s meals, do their laundry, keep the house tidy, and work alongside you to keep your life running smoothly.
Full-time or part-time, long-term or short-term, live-in or live-out, a great nanny is worth their weight in gold.
Childcare is not one size fits all. We believe all families deserve high-quality childcare, no mater what the situation is. Maybe you need a part-time nanny to help while you’re on maternity leave or a full-time nanny for a few months until the spot in Montessori opens up. Whatever your scenario or situation, we can help.
We’ve harnessed nearly 3 decades of experience to develop a pool of experienced, reliable, and vetted nannies open to shorter contracts (2-6+ months). We’ll find the care you need when you need it most.
Are you looking for great care for your children, but need help managing your home too? A family assistant is an experienced nanny who provides extra support to keep your life running smoothly.
These in-demand superstars will happily provide exceptional childcare, homework support, drive the kiddos to and from activities, do the their laundry, and more. In addition to typical nanny duties, they’ll also coordinate appointments and manage the family calendar, run errands and keep the home organized, grocery shop and assist with meal prep, research camps and find the perfect classes… and more. It’s tailor-made support for your busy family.
Are you considering a full-time nanny for your little one(s), but finding that the hourly compensation is outside of your childcare budget? We get it. But, you don’t have to give up on the idea of hiring a nanny altogether. Rather, consider forming a nanny share.
A nanny share is when two like-minded families, with similar needs, schedules and preferences, share the services of a single nanny. By sharing a nanny, families can split the cost of the nanny’s salary, benefits, and other expenses, making it an economical option compared to hiring individually.
Moreover, nanny share can provide socialization and educational opportunities for children, as they get to interact with other children, learn together, and build new friendships.
It’s personalized care with an affordable price tag. You select the family you want to share with – we’ll do the rest!

Our three decades of success stem from a multi-faceted approach to candidate recruitment. While we leverage every recruiting resource available, a remarkable 50+% of our yearly placements consist of repeat candidates (on their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th+ placement) and word-of-mouth referrals.
Our comprehensive and curated network of candidates – is a result of 30+ years supporting our local nanny community through regular networking and educational events – ensures we not only attract new talent but also maintain lasting relationships with exceptional candidates in the market. By fostering trust and delivering unparalleled service, we’ve become the go-to agency for both candidates and families seeking the long-term childcare positions.
As a result of our connections we’re able to hand-select the best candidates available in the marketplace and curate an elite group dedicated to delivering top-quality care to our clients.
Yes – ABSOLUTELY! Vetting and identifying great candidates is about so much more than checking a few references and running a cheap online background check. Our rigorous applicant screening process, refined over three decades, is designed to identify individuals who have the passion, character, and experience needed to do the job well and weed out the rest. Less than 10% of applicants make the cut.

Great question! Successful nanny shares are a great way to get the low-ratio, high-quality childcare you want for your child(ren) while splitting the costs with another family. That being said, finding the right family to share care with is imperative. It’s important to ensure all parents in the share get are compatible and on the same page regarding in-home care.
After many years of trying, we’ve found it’s truly best if families come to us with a share already established. And while we don’t match families, we do place nannies in existing shares and provide support and guidance for those who are considering creating a nanny share. Check out our blog on Tips for a Successful Nanny Share.
Great question! Rates vary based on the needs of your family, your specific job requirements, and the level of education, experience and expertise required for the position. While there are many variables to consider, we typically see families paying the following:
– Nannies: $28 – $35+ per hour
– Family Assistants: $30 – $37+ per hour
– Nanny Shares: $5++ on top of standard nanny rates
Hourly rates tend to be a few dollars an hour less in the Fort Collins / NOCO metro area, and in/around Colorado Springs. Alternatively, candidates in Boulder and the mountain areas typically make at least a few dollars per hour more.
Our consultants are happy to help you establish an appropriate pay range for your position to ensure you attract the right candidates for the job.
With few exceptions, the IRS considers most nannies, nanny managers, and family assistants household employees, not independent contractors (W2 vs 1099). When you hire the perfect person, you’ll be the employer and will be responsible for paying your new employee, withhold taxes, paying employer taxes and more.
But not to worry – it’s not as complex as it sounds. We’re happy to refer you to several reputable, affordable tax and payroll companies who will make payroll and tax compliance a breeze.
Unlike daycares and childcare centers that often have substantial waitlists – some upwards of 6-12+ months – hiring through ABC is much quicker. While it’s advisable to start your search earlier rather than later, 3-4+ weeks lead time is ideal for most positions.
Starting early allows us ample time to recruit specifically for your position, and ensures you have plenty of time to interview potential matches and make a well-informed decision without feeling rushed.
But not to worry, if you’re short on time, we can help you too!
At ABC, our commitment extends beyond the initial placement. We’re here to help anytime you need us, whether that’s a few weeks, a few months, or a few years in. If issues arise, our dedicated team will work closely with both parties to find a swift, effective solution. Our goal is to help facilitate harmonious, enduring placements. And when it’s it’s time for a change, we’ll be there for you then, too!
