A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Vine & E Center

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8am-5:30pm, Friday 8am to 4pm with 47 hours guaranteed. Dad travels often for work, so the family is asking for occasional weekends or overnights (agreed upon in advance).

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year

Start Date: Sept 2024

Children's Ages: Care will be for 2 children ages 2 and 4 months.

About the Children:

The oldest child will be in school part-time Monday - Thursday 8am to 11am, so primary care will be for the family’s youngest. The older child is full of energy and loves being active, especially riding bikes and playing with trucks and cars. After school, he will have lunch and a three-hour nap, spending most of the day with the new baby. The younger child, born nine weeks early and now four months adjusted age, is shy, quiet, and easily overstimulated. They are thriving with dim lights, gaining weight steadily, and are formula-fed.

About the Family:

Mom works from home part-time, and the rest of the time is in an office. Dad is in the office full-time.

About the Pets:

A golden retriever and cat live in this home - the golden would love a walk with you and the baby each day!

Additional Notes:

This family has a wonderful relationship with their current ABC nanny, who has worked for them for 2+ years but is relocating. They are looking forward to welcoming in a new nanny to their home - someone who will be a part of their parenting team - very soon.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties including meal prep for the children, children’s laundry, light housekeeping, dishes, and general tidy up.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for the position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 years of professional experience with infants and toddlers.
Knowledge of infant development and milestones.
Any Infant certifications and training would be a big bonus.
Higher level of education past high school
Must be confident with infants and love to learn.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $70,000 to 80,000 a year.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days, and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

This family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19 boosters.
