Position Highlights

A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Santa Fe & Bowles, Littleton
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm with flexibility. Family will guarantee 40 hours and will need someone who can flex up to 45 hours per week occasionally.
Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.
Start Date: ASAP

Children's Ages: Care will be for three young children ranging from 1 to 6 years old.
About the Children:
  • The two oldest children are in school part-time, while the youngest will be home part-time.
  • The children love activities like swimming, dancing, gardening, and bike riding. They are looking for someone who will participate with them (and enjoy it too!)
About the Family:
  • This family has dual-working parents. They will be in and out of the home throughout the day.
  • This role also involves collaborating with other family support team members.
About the Pets:
  •  There are no pets in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • This family has had great relationships with their past nannies. They look forward to welcoming their new family assistant and hope they'll stay for years to come!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • Child-related duties duties include meal prep/cooking for the kiddos, keeping them safe and on their schedules, and coordinating/ transporting to daily activities/ playdates.
  • Responsibilities also encompass assisting with travel, helping plan birthday parties, and organizing child-related areas such as bedrooms and playrooms.
  • They'd also love someone who will jump in and help with other duties such as grocery shopping, errands, tidying up, and occasional laundry support.
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is required for the position. The family travels 15% of the year for 3 to 14 days at a time, with advanced notice.
  • All expenses will be paid when you travel with the family.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 5 years of professional nanny, nanny manager and/or family assistant experience is required - must be verified by strong professional references.
  • Previous experience traveling with a family is required
  • Candidates with a college degree (AA or BA/BS) or experience with Early Childhood Education are preferred.
  • Candidates should have experience with play-based learning and creating educational activities (e.g., developmentally appropriate games, stimulating projects and crafts, cooking and baking).
  • All candidates must be physically able to keep up with very active young children.
  • Must be a strong swimmer who is very comfortable supervising and playing with children in the water.
  • The ideal candidate is a creative, conscientious problem-solver who approaches their role with a thoughtful, value-driven mindset. They must be discreet and protect the family's privacy. Further, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team - being proactive, organized, and detail-oriented are musts.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$35+/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $62,400 - $83,000 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering 15+ days of PTO (wow!), paid major holidays, and sick time per Colorado state law.
  • In addition, they are offering paid medical insurance and a 401k...not many families can do that!

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references.
  • Have strong professional and personal references.
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew before hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations.
