Located at: Colorado & Exposition
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off. This will typically be from Tuesday to Monday. 80 hours every other week guaranteed. The hours will be allocated as a “bucket of time.” The number of hours per day will vary according to the employer’s schedule with no fixed hours except a 6:30/7 am daily start time.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year
Start Date: ASAP

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 5 and 6.
About the Children:

The family has two younger children who live in the home and attend school full-time. They are active, energetic, and thrive on engaging in creative and fun activities. Whether it’s arts and crafts, imaginative play, or outdoor adventures, they enjoy staying busy and exploring new ways to have fun

About the Family:
  • Mom and Dad are busy professionals, and the Family Assistant must be comfortable with them being around on occasion.
  • A second family assistant will be rotating with the new FA.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.
  • The family has multiple pets - animal lovers, this role is for you!
Additional Notes:
  • The family has one amazing ABC nanny who works every other week. There will be opportunities to pick up additional hours (if desired) and switch days if needed with the other nanny.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard family assistant duties including childcare, planning educational activities & exercises, light housekeeping, cooking for the children, organizing and putting away books and toys, family laundry, errands, grocery shopping, organizational projects, pick-ups/drop-offs, pet care, managing appointments, and coordinating after school calendar and activities.
  • Household management duties including event management (logistics, catering, managing contractors, etc.), home maintenance (identifying and scheduling repairs and standard upkeep), administrative tasks (identify household stocking needs, update user manuals, travel research, etc.), household organization, maintaining household security (review camera footage and household receipts), looking after guests, and overseeing pool and landscaping needs
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is required. Candidates must be able to travel out of state and/or internationally for 4+ weeks of the year, as well as weekend trips to the mountains during ski season. Get your passport ready!

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 4+ years of recent full-time experience working with school-age children in a family assistant role is required. 
  • Previous experience with household management duties.
  • The Ideal Candidate: Will be kind, flexible, fun, loving, patient, active, and independent. Those that are self-motivated will excel in this role. Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work well with other household employees to create a positive work environment. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, proactive, and collaborates well with others. This family encourages you to plan outings with the children and will provide an employee credit card for expenses.
  • French and Spanish-speaking nannies are highly encouraged to apply, but an additional language is not required.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $33-$38+/hour (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • Benefits include 20 days of PTO (including sick days or holidays requested off), a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for driving on the job, and guaranteed hours.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend.

  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19
