A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: 60th & McIntyre
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus occasional date nights. The family is happy to guarantee 45 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Family is open to live-in or live out and they are happy to provide a private space for the nanny in the basement that is fully furnished with a bedroom, bathroom, living room and bar area.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.
Start Date: Feb 2025

About the Children:

Care will be for a healthy and happy newborn newborn baby girl. Both parents are following the Baby Wise approach, so familiarity with or openness to this method is preferred.

About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties include feeding, diaper changes, and maintaining cleanliness in child-related areas. The nanny will engage in age-appropriate activities, support developmental milestones, and communicate regularly with parents about the child’s progress. Light housekeeping related to the child’s care, such as laundry, washing bottles, breast pump, dishes, and tidying up, is also expected.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice in the future.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of experience with infants is required.
  • 2+ years of previous experience as an independent nanny.
  • Infant CPR certification is required.
  • The ideal candidate is a warm, experienced nanny with a strong background in infant care, dedicated to supporting early education and development. Someone who is calm, composed, even in fussy situations, and who communicates openly when something feels off. Flexibility and a willingness to take direction are important, as is a professional, grounded presence that respects the flow of the home.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $1,215-$1,575 per week (gross) for a live-out nanny and $1,125 to $1,350 a week for a live-in. Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $58,500 - $81,900 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the candidiates pay rate.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including flu and tdap.
