Located at: Downing & Kentucky
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Weds, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, Thursdays 9am to 3pm. The family is happy to guarantee 30 hours per week and they would love one date night a month.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 15 months and 3 years.
About the Children:
  • The family's older child is an almost three-year-old with a vibrant personality and a sweet, loving nature. He absolutely adores his parents and is in a very typical developmental stage marked by big emotions and increasing independence. He's active and always on the move—especially enjoys being outside, playing with trucks, and having lots of reading time. His younger brother is on the move and super active. He has a calm and easygoing temperament and is an excellent sleeper. He receives physical therapy to support some minor muscle imbalances (favoring one side), which is largely resolved but still being monitored.
  • Both children have severe food allergies and are seeking the help of a nutritionist and ongoing therapy. The family has EpiPens on hand and can provide a full list of allergy details.
About the Family:
  • Dual-working parents who work in and out of the home. They both have private office spaces.
About the Pets:
  • This family has two lovable dogs, one bernadoodle and one puggle - all candidates must be pet-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties, including unloading and loading the dishwasher, meal prep for the children, child laundry, light housekeeping, and light errands. The family would like help maintaining the children's sleep schedules and making changes as they grow. They would also love a nanny to provide them with a list of supplies for fun, creative activities.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of childcare experience with toddlers.
  • Experience with Potty training
  • Must have experience caring for two children at a time.
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of childhood development and milestones.
  • Experience with food allergies and or an EpiPen.
  • The ideal candidate will be calm, punctual, tidy, and take pride in leaving the home better than they found it. They should be highly engaged, coming prepared with age-appropriate activities and creative ideas for play, learning, and development, not just monthly, but daily. A love for reading, a strong understanding of toddler development, and the ability to actively support physical therapy exercises are essential.
  • They also need a nanny who is calm under pressure and able to handle an emergency if one of the boys experiences an allergic reaction.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $27-$30/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $42,000+  per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, and paid sick days.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including Tdap, and get the flu shot each year.
