Located at: C470 & Quincy

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 12 p.m. to 5/6 p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 25 to 30 hours per week.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position until March 2025.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 4 and 7.

About the Children:

The oldest child is in school full-time, so the primary care will be for the family's youngest child, who is gifted and on the spectrum. He begins his day at school and typically needs to be picked up between 12 and 3 p.m., depending on his behavior that day. Mom and Dad are working closely with a behavior specialist to support him in learning emotional regulation. This little one has a deep love for math, Legos, and Minecraft. Care will occasionally be for both children after school and on school holidays.

Mom and Dad are both busy professionals who work full-time in office settings. With their demanding schedules, they’re looking for an extra set of hands to help manage daily routines and ensure their children are well cared for after school. They value a reliable and compassionate caregiver who can support their family’s needs during this time.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assiaint or nanny duties depdning on the day. If their youngest son remains in school after 12pm, they would love to help with family laundry, dishes, organizational projects, and light housekeeping. If their son needs to be picked up early, the focus will be on him.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 years of professional experience with school-age children.
Special needs, ABA, and or experience working with gifted children is required.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, kind, and able to remain calm under stress. They should have an understanding of children on the spectrum to provide thoughtful care and support to the youngest child as he navigates his emotions.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $27-$34/hour (gross) based on experience.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering paid sick time, paid major holidays, and gas or mileage reimbursement.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
