A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: I-25 and W Tomah Rd, Castle Rock

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday 7am-12pm, Tuesday- Thursday 7am - 5pm, and Friday's 5 hour shift TBD, but most likely 12pm-5pm. This family will guarantee 40 hours/week.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year

Start Date: August 5th, 2024

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for there children ages 7, 3, and 21 months old.

About the Children:

The oldest child is in school full time and the middle child is in school a couple hours a day. They both were diagnosed with high-functioning ASD, with slight hearing loss.
The youngest will be home full-time, ready for fun on the family's large property & enjoying their pool as much as possible.
The children see therapists to help with development, and the nanny should be engaged to help implement strategies.

About the Pets:

They have one indoor cat, so the candidate must be comfortable around cats!

Additional Notes:

Every day will look different so candidates must adapt to the family's changing needs. Mom is hoping to create a team atmosphere with open communication and where the focus is always on the children's best interests.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny manager duties include focusing on children, helping with light riding up, children's meals, restocking children's essentials (diapers, wipes, etc,) pick up's/drop off's, sitting in therapy sessions, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, occasional errands. The family employs a house manager who handles grocery shopping, laundry, and other administrative roles.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel is required for the position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

5 years of nanny experience with infants, toddlers, school-age children
Previous experience as an ABA or with children on the spectrum would be a bonus.
CPR/First Aid Certified.
The ideal candidate will have great communication, and patience, be a comfortable swimmer, and be comfortable managing the children's different ages & needs.
Also, the ideal candidate should be capable of taking charge while respecting the mother's boundaries, and have the skills for redirecting the children and setting boundaries as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $34-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $65,000 - $72,000 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
