Position Highlights

A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Broadmoor Bluffs & St HWY 115
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Hours will vary slightly week to week due to parent's work schedules. However, most hours will fall Monday through Friday. Family will provide a schedule 6 to 8 weeks in advance, guarantee 140 to 160 hours a month, AND pay for the flexibility!
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.
Start Date: July 31, 2024

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for 2 children ages 9 and 11.
About the Children:

Both children are in school full-time, so primary care will be after school and on occasional weekends. Their youngest child is an independent social butterfly while their oldest is a bit more reserved and enjoys building robots and history!

About the Pets:
  • This family has two sweet pets, a large dog and an old lazy cat.
Additional Notes:
  • This family has had a great relationship with their past family assistant in Georgia. The family will relocate to the area in early July, they would love to find another great long-term match.
  • Dual-working physicians who work outside of the home.
  • Due to Mom and Dad's profession, each week will be different. On occasion, they might be home catching up on sleep.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard family assistant duties include cooking, managing mail, creating and ordering grocery lists, providing homework help, transporting children to and from school and activities, managing and taking pets to the vet, and coordinating kids' events and school projects. Responsibilities also involve preparing meals, doing laundry, running errands, shipping and organizing mail, and picking up and dropping off dry cleaning. Additionally, the role includes planning and organizing events at the house, coordinating lawn care and house cleaning, paying fees or dues as needed for the kids, maintaining the family calendar, making appointments, putting up and taking down holiday decorations, making donations with unused items, and performing other tasks as needed.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who can sty overnight with the children on occasion.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • Previous experience with household management duties is required.
  • CPR & first aid certified
  • A second language would be nice but not required.
  • Must be tach savvy and know how to manage a family calendar.
  • Seeking a friendly, organized, proactive professional who can grow with the family as their needs change and evolve.
  • Must be proactive around the home and able to stay busy throughout the day.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $22-$30/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $37,000 - $57,600 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days, and a credit card for gas reimbursement for driving on the job.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
