Located at: Colorado Blvd and Hampden

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: This position offers a guaranteed average of 35 hours per week or 151 hours per month. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 12/1 PM to 6/7 PM and one weekend per month. The weekend schedule will be provided 2 to 3 months in advance.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out during the weekday hours with live-in one weekend per month. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided for this time.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term contract with the potential to extend. The position starts as soon as possible and runs through June 1st.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Children's Ages: Care will be for a 13 year old girl and a 9 year old girl.

About the Children:

The two girls are 9 and 13 years old and are in school full-time just down the road from their home. They enjoy playing sports, are active in school plays, and have busy after-school/weekend schedules.

About the Family:

This loving single mom shares custody of her two daughters with her ex-husband, 50% of the time.
She is seeking a compassionate and organized Family Assistant to join her household. She has progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and needs extra support around the home and with her daughters. Even more so, when her condition flares up.
Mom will be involved as much as she can, but she's actively seeking a "second pair of hands" to help bring joy an order to their day-to-day lives.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

This is a Family Assistant position and all standard responsibilities are required including:

Assistance with homework
Grocery shopping and running errands
Laundry, dishes, and household tidying
Meal prep and light cooking for the girls
Driving the girls to activities after-school and on weekends. Be ready to engage in activities like hiking and biking, they love that too!

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

Active, organized, patient and engaging are must-haves.
A good driving record is required.
A higher level of education is desired in order to assist with homework.
Must be loving, proactive, and willing to be part of a shared custody family environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $4,246 to $5,134 gross per month, an averaged hourly rate of $28 to $34/hr.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

Family is offering all standard benefits, including 5 days of PTO of the candidate's choosing, paid major holidays that fall on the work schedule and paid sick time.
Mileage reimbursement and or a stipend for gas will also be provided.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19.
