Located at: Aspen, Colorado

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours/week, plus the opportunity for overtime (1.5x). Candidate will always have 1- 2 days off/week and the schedule will be provided 1+ week in advance. Flexibility is a must. Most shifts will be before and afterschool.

Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position. However a private condo (with views) is provided in downtown Aspen.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for three school aged children, ages 9, 7 and 3.5 years old.

About the Children:

The children are very bright and eager to learn. They are taking advanced classes in school, love to read, be challenged, do arts and crafts (private area just for them). They also love to be outside hiking, skiing and exploring.

About the Family:

Both parents are high achievers and have powerful careers, but they are VERY dedicated to their family.
Mom and dad will be in and out of the home throughout the day, but have had great experiences with their previous nannies (all long-term).

About the Pets:

There are two dogs in the home.

This family has had great relationship with their past nannies. All of their household staff - including a full-time PA, Household Manager and Housekeeper - have been with them for several years (and that's always a great sign)!
They are looking to hire an educated and eager nanny who will be with them for years to come, too.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny/nanny manager duties including children's meal prep, children's laundry, general tidying, and homework assistance are required. must be able to wear many hats and step in for other staff as needed.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel 8 to 10 weeks of the year. All expenses paid.
Must have a valid passport or the ability to renew ASAP.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required, ideally in Education
Bilingual in French
Colorado-based teacher is desired- not required.
Must HAVE an energetic, upbeat, and positive personality – a “young-at-heart” individual who loves being active and going on new adventures.
High energy, self-directed, and a willingness to be accommodating and flexible!

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $40-$50/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $90,000 - $104,000 per year (gross).
Pay is based on candidate's teaching and nanny experience.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

Family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick days.
They are providing a vehicle to drive on the job.
In addition to the excellent compensation, they are also offering a private (luxury) condo in downtown Aspen with views!

Any Additional Perks:

This family is also open to offering relocation assistance based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

All candidates MUST have 2+ years of in-home nanny/nanny management/private educator experience with toddlers and school-age children is required.
All candidates MUST have 1+ years of teaching experience, ideally at the elementary school level.
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a college graduate
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
