Located at: Sunnyside

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Two schedule options Monday through Thursday 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. OR Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12pm to 7pm. The family can guarantee 21 to 24 hours a week.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position starting off with a 3 month contract. If all is well, they are open to extending and keeping on a candidiate longer term.

Start Date: ASAP

Children's Ages: Care will be part-time for two children ages 6 and almost 3.

About the Children:

Both children are in school full-time, so primary care will be for the family’s oldest when he gets out of school at 2:30 or 4 pm. Care will also be needed for his younger brother who is in school until around 5 or 5:30 pm. They are both very active, they love the park, fun outings, and bike rides.

About the Family:

Dual working parents with private office spaces.

About the Pets:

Two friendly cats live in the home.

Additional Notes:

This family has had a great relationship in the past with an ABC nanny.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

While the children are in school the candidate will be focused on Family Assistant duties including meal prep, cooking for the children, packing lunches, grocery shopping, errands, laundry, housekeeping-light, general tidying, dishes, and organizational projects. Once the children are out of school the focus will be on childcare, fun outings such as going to the museum, park, play gym, and getting dinner ready for them at the end of the day.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 year of childcare experience with toddlers and school-age children.
Previous experience with some household management.
A second language such as Spanish would be a big plus( not required)
The ideal candidate will be proactive and find things to do around the home while the children are in school. After school, they would love an active nanny who can engage with the children and come up with fun activities, outings, and adventures.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $27-$34/hour (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering paid sick time, and mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
