Located at: Broadway and Dartmouth Ave

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 40-45 hours per week. If 40 hours are preferred, the schedule is M-F from 8 - 4. If open to 45 hours a week, it will include 5 hours of overtime.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 3+ months - longer if it’s a great match.

Children's Ages: Care will be for one child with is almost 2-years old.

About the Children:

Their child is a smart, sweet, and active toddler boy who loves being outdoors and is currently in a big construction truck phase.
He enjoys building with blocks, reading (especially about trucks!), and playing independently.
He attends Little Gym classes twice a week and thrives on routine and active play.

About the Family:

Dual working parents who do a mix of work from home and in the office.
Dad will be primarily working in his office for the summer with only occasional days at home.
Mom will be primarily working full-time in a private home office space with occasional travel for work.

About the Pets:

There are no pets in the home.

Additional Notes:

This family has a great relationship with their current nanny who raves about their toddler, but since the family is moving from New Jersey they are seeking another stellar match.
They are looking forward to welcoming in a new nanny to their home for the summer- someone who will be an integral part of their parenting team - very soon.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties, including total and complete childcare, meal prep for the toddler, general tidying, and keeping the home in order.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of nanny experience with toddlers
Previous experience with infants would be ideal as the family is hoping to expand next year.
A teaching degree and/or experience would be ideal, but not required.
The ideal candidate is kind, values open communication, can stick to the child's established routine, maintain a tidy home environment, and work in close partnership with their family.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to a compensation of $10,800 - $12,600 for the 8-week contract (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering the week of the 4th of July off as the family will be on vacation, accrued sick days, and a vehicle to drive on the job.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
