Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday, 160 hours a month guaranteed. A schedule will be given 1-3 weeks in advance and the candidate can expect to work 3 to 10 overnights a month. NO weekends are needed.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

The child is 11 years old and identifies as they/them. They are sweet, kind, and highly sensitive, with a strong ability to connect emotionally and a natural artistic talent, especially in knitting and fashion.
An "old soul" with a great sense of humor, they thrive on praise and positive reinforcement.
Excelling in school they are twice-exceptional.

About the Family:

This hard-working, single mom's job requires her to maintain a very busy schedule, including frequent travel for work, especially January through June.
This family lost their husband/father a few years ago. Mom is seeking a reliable, strong, positive and dedicated role model for her child to provide stability and support during her time away.

About the Pets:

This family has two indoor cats and a sweet dog - all candidates must be pet-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties including school pick up and drop offs, overseeing homework, managing household schedules, coordinating appointments, running errands, grocery shopping, family laundry, dishes, light meal prep.
This busy single mom also would appreciate assistance organizing the home, overseeing household maintenance, assisting with travel arrangements, and providing general support to ensure the household runs smoothly.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 years of in-home experience with school-age children.
Previous experience with household management duties.
One or two sentences about the ideal candidate for the job
The ideal candidate is supportive, warm, and open-minded, with a dependable and trustworthy nature. They must be highly organized, proactive around the home, and ready to step in seamlessly when Mom is unavailable.
This role requires someone who can provide stability, adapt to the family’s needs, and ensure the household operates smoothly at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

Mom will provide a schedule for all overnights in advance. Overnights will NEVER be over the weekend Friday- Sunday.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
