A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Lowell & Bowles

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The candidate can expect to work 11am or 12pm to 6pm or 7pm with the addition of two weeks of 24 hour care will be needed. They will guarantee a minimum of 35 hours a week.

Live-In / Live-Out: This is a Live-out role.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term contract for 3 months.

Start Date: Aug 16th 2024

Family and Household Dynamics

A peek behind the front door...

Children's Ages: Supervision will be for 2 children ages 9 and 12.

About the Children:

Both children are in school full-time, so primary care will be after school. They will need help organizing afterschool sports along with pick-up drop-offs and homework.

About the Pets:

One sweet old Border collie lives in the home. He will need let in and out throughout the day.

Additional Notes:

The family needs help for the next three months while they help transition and move Grandma, who has dementia, to Colorado. As Mom and Dad will be focusing on her relocation and sorting out her estate they will require significant support at home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard personal assistant and family assistant duties will be needed. Assist with afterschool care, meal prep, laundry, dishes, cooking, errands, filing, sorting through boxes, arranging donations, adding items to eBay, researching antique values, computer entry, organizing and unboxing items, and homework help.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required however the family will need two weeks of 24-hour support.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 years of professional family assistant or personal assistant experience is required.
Must be tech-savvy and able to use Excell.
Good driving record.
Must have a higher level of education past high school.
The Ideal Candidate will be extremely organized and able to wear many hats.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$38/hour (gross).

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
