Position Highlights

Located at: University and 3rd Ave.
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (with flexibility). Exact schedule will be worked out with the nanny. The family is happy to guarantee 45 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.
Start Date: ASAP

Children's Ages: Care will be for 3 children ages 8, 5 and 1.
About the Children:
  • Primary care is for the 1 year old girl. Family is looking for support with their daughter, including nursery school drop-offs (8:15 -11) and managing nap times (noon– 2).
  • The 2 older boys ages 8 and 5 are picked up from school at 3, and then attend activities.
About the Family:
  • Dual working parents who primarily work outside of the home.
  • The ideal fit for this family is a proactive, organized, and independent individual who can seamlessly manage a dynamic household.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • Provide loving and age-appropriate care for the children, including managing daily routines, school drop-offs/pick-ups, and after-school activities.
  • Engage in education and recreational activities with the kids.
  • Assist with household tasks such as errands, grocery shopping, car washing, and organizing.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized home environment, including managing children’s belongings and organizing household items.
  • Help with light meal prep (washing fruits/veggies, preparing food for cooking later).

  • Provide occasional overnight care when both parents are traveling.
  • Manage the family calendar, organize appointments, and help with other household admin tasks.
  • Work with parents to establish and maintain effective communication regarding the children's activities and progress.
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is required for the position.
  • Travel with the family to destinations such as Maine in the summer and the Bahamas, with the option to align family travel to Bahamas with nanny's time off.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2+ years of professional experience with toddlers through school-age children.
  • Previous experience as a nanny and/or family assistant or in a similar role, with the ability to multitask and handle a dynamic household.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to take initiative and work independently.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $35/hour+ (gross) or more based on experience. Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of a minimum of $81,900+ per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement of $150-$350/month and relocation assistance based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
