Position Highlights

A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: E. Alameda Ave and S. Steele St.
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 9 - 5. The family is happy to guarantee 16 hours a week.
Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 6 months.
Start Date: As soon as possible.

Children's Ages: Care will be for one child who is 3 years old.
About the Children:
  • The focus will be on preparing their sweet 3 year old son for kindergarten.
  • Their child thrives while being actively engaged in daily developmental activities, outdoor adventures, reading and writing sessions, and fun educational outings.
About the Family:
  • One parent works outside of the home, while the other is a stay at home mom!
About the Pets:
  • The family has one small pup, less than 5lbs!
Additional Notes:
  • This wonderful returning ABC family had a great experience with their part-time nanny placed with them this past year.
  • The family is bilingual and a Spanish-speaking private educator would be amazing to further support their son's language development, although not a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • Tutoring / private educator duties including preparing the 3 year old for kindergarten, teaching him to read and write, and creating a fun-filled day with a variety of educational activities.
Travel Requirements:

 

  • No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of experience with preschoolers.
  • Previous experience as a tutor or private educator is highly desirable.
  • While an educational background & Spanish speaking is a plus, it is not mandatory.
  •  Reliability, kindness, and a collaborative approach are must-have qualities.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $35-$40/hour (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

 

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
