Located at: Arvada
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 8a.m. to 4:30/5 p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 42 to 45 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 8+ weeks.
Start Date: May 26th 2025

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children an almost 2 year old and a 5 year old.
About the Children:
  • The youngest, is a joyful bundle of energy who typically wakes around 8 am, ready to embrace the day! After breakfast, this adventurous little one thrives outdoors in their fully child-proofed backyard, where climbing is a favorite pastime—earning them a playful nickname as a "human missile." Energetic and always eager for fun, their day involves plenty of outdoor playtime.
  • His older sibling is wrapping up the school year and he is bright, imaginative, and deeply curious, often delving passionately into various topics, particularly mythological creatures. He enjoys reading, and working on his own creative books, and has a notable affinity for math. He also loves spending time outdoors and thrives on thoughtful, creative engagement and fun activities.
About the Family:
  • Mom is incredibly sweet, easygoing, and describes herself as a type-B parent—it's all about the boys having fun! She would love the nanny to plan cool outings and is looking forward to the kids having a blast this summer. She has been a stay-at-home mom, but she’s scheduled for surgery soon, after which she won't be able to lift or carry anything heavier than five pounds. While she'll be around as she recovers, she's not yet sure what her day-to-day involvement will look like. Dad works full-time outside of the home.
About the Pets:
  • Two sweet and energetic labs also live in the home, so much love dogs.
  • A sweet cat also lives here and is hypoallergenic.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves engaging with kids, going on exciting outings, and creating joyful memories all summer long.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties with some light house management to help Mom as she can not lift anything heavy. Duties would include helping with laundry, carrying heavy items for Mom, unloading and putting away groceries, meal prep for the family, cooking for the kids, unloading and loading the dishwasher, and planning fun activities.
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is not required however they would love it if a nanny were open to flying out to Washington after mom's surgery to help bring the boys back.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of childcare experience with toddlers.
  • Previous experience with household management duties.
  • A furthered level of education would be nice however not required.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive in offering support around the home, have a fun and upbeat personality, and bring warmth and an easygoing nature to the household. Mom would appreciate someone who naturally pitches in and enjoys being part of the family team.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $27-$34/hour (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • The family is offering paid major holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
