Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Hours are typically Tuesday through Saturday. The family is happy to guarantee 45 to 50 hours per week. Flexibility is key to this family and they will pay accordingly.
Live-In / Live-Out: This is a Live-in job. The Family is happy to provide a private one bedroom apartment in Colorado along with nanny's own private room and bathroom for all travel.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year or more.

Children's Ages: Care will be for three children ages 2 months, 3 and 5 years old.
About the Children:
  • The family has three children: a 5-year-old who attends school part-time and is curious, loves learning, and enjoys outdoor activities like biking and skiing. A 3-year-old who is adventurous and enjoys nature and riding her bike. She is also in school part-time. Lastly, a 2-month-old whom will be with mom most of the day, so occasional light newborn care will be needed.
About the Family:
  • Dual working parents with private office space.
  • Mom will be home with the baby, primary care will be for two oldest children.
  • The ability to travel privately to fun and beautiful locations is required for the position. The family spends their time traveling 30-50% of the year so a nanny who enjoys seeing the world is a must! All accommodations are paid for and first-rate.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties include meal prep, washing bottles, children’s laundry, unloading and loading the dishwasher, and light housekeeping.
Travel Requirements:
  • The family spends about 6 months a year living in Colorado: Christmas through March and parts of June, July, and August. And they enjoy traveling as a family during the "mud season" (April-May and September-October) to warmer destinations.
  • They frequently travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where they have a home two hours from Nashville. The nanny will have their own bedroom and bathroom while staying there.
  • The family also spends time on a 50-foot catamaran in the islands. The nanny should be comfortable being on a boat, not prone to seasickness.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 7-10+ years of professional nanny experience with newborns and toddlers is required by this employer, ideally with a family that has 2+ children (if possible).
  • Previous experience traveling with a family is highly desirable.
  • Must be a good swimmer and be able to travel and stay on a boat.
  • Knowledge of  or experience with Montessori philosophies is important to this family as they are seeking someone to teach and guide their children day-to-day incorporating the Montesorri philosophy.
  • The ability to ski and enjoy snow sports is a big plus!
  • The ideal candidate is an experienced, career nanny with a vibrant, positive energy who brings joy to everyday activities and makes even simple tasks fun. They should be outgoing, playful, and confident, with the ability to connect easily with others and remain calm and patient while managing three young children. A natural intuition to step in and help, while respecting family time, is essential, along with a proactive approach to supporting the household. Heavy-handed, authoritative, or introverted personalities will not be a good fit for this loud, fun-loving family.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering a salary of $95,000 to $110,000+ a year.
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days, and a health insurance stipend. They are also open to helping with relocation assistance.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend and relocation assistance based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package. They will also provide a ski pass!

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of full-time nanny experience verifiable with references.
  • Have strong professional and personal references.
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations.
