Located at: 4th and Mapleton

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday with 32 guaranteed hours per week. Schedule will generally fall between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with flexibility around exact hours. Occasional evening or weekend assistance may be requested with advance notice.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for three children ages5 years, almost 3 years, and 4 months.

About the Children:

The 5-year-old is in kindergarten and enjoys arts, crafts, and imaginative play. She is reserved, cautious, and creative.
The almost 3-year-old attends preschool Monday-Thursday and enjoys swimming, martial arts, arts and crafts, and afternoon naps. School transportation for both girls will be part of the role.
The 4-month-old is a happy, healthy, calm baby who is combo-fed and settling into a regular feeding and nap schedule.

About the Family:

The parents both work from home and maintain a relaxed, informal household while having high expectations for their staff. They value initiative, discretion, good communication, and a "pitch-in" mentality.
The family has an existing household team, and the current house manager will be taking several months off beginning in January. They are looking for someone who can help keep the household organized and running smoothly.
The Family Assistant will primarily work at the family's Boulder residence, alongside an existing house manager, nanny and housekeeper. This is not a primary nanny or deep-cleaning position. Rather, the Family Assistant will help fill the gaps between these roles and provide an additional set of capable hands wherever they are most useful.

About the Pets:

The family has two dogs, with occasional feeding, walks, or transportation to the groomer or vet as needed.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard Family Assistant duties, including household organization and upkeep, laundry, making beds, grocery shopping, errands, stocking supplies, children's laundry, meal preparation, school transportation, and occasional childcare.
Additional responsibilities may include coordinating vehicle maintenance, assisting with household vendors and projects, supporting the housekeeper, preparing for guests or events, and helping with seasonal household needs.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety rather than doing exactly the same job every day. Some days may involve organizing the house and running errands; another may involve picking up a child from school, taking a vehicle for service and helping prepare the home for guests.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional support at the family's mountain home and travel with the family may be requested. Most family travel does not require the Family Assistant.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

At least 2 years of experience as a Family Assistant, Household Manager, Nanny, Personal Assistant, or relevant experience.
Experience caring for young children and comfortable with school transportation.
A clean driving record is a must, comfort driving larger vehicles or RVs is a plus, but not required.
NDA/confidentiality agreement required.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, with strong communication skills, good judgment, and a willingness to take feedback. They are calm, dependable, discreet, and flexible, enjoy variety, and work well alongside other household staff.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $35-$38.50/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $58,240 - $64,064 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2 weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and a vehicle to drive on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19
