Located at: Washington Park
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust up to 50 hours.The typical hours will be 11 am to 7 pm. Flexibility to occasionally stay later (until 8 pm) on Tuesdays and Thursdays may be needed (depending on work schedules), as well as 3 to 8 overnights a year. Schedule provided in advance and family is very thoughtful about your work-life balance, too.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year .
Start Date: ASAP

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 8 and 5 years old.
About the Children:
  • The oldest is bright, strong-willed, and active in swimming, gymnastics, karate, and soccer. She requires gentle guidance with homework, physical therapy exercises, and managing a chronic GI condition (medications and monitoring needed). She thrives on structure, creativity, and loving support.
  • The youngest is sweet, easy-going, and is also engaged in swimming, gym, and open to exploring dance and soccer. She’s finding her voice and personality and enjoys playful, nurturing attention.
About the Family:
  • Dual working parents with private office spaces.
About the Pets:
  • No pets in the home.

  • The family values a clean, organic lifestyle and seeks someone aligned with their commitment to healthy eating (avoiding dyes, seed oils, and processed foods).
  • Both parents have demanding schedules, with Dad traveling frequently.
  • Grandma visits on occasion, adding warmth and family support to the household.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard family assistant duties, including maintaining flexible schedules, school pick-ups, supporting homework and therapy exercises, and organizing engaging activities. Additional responsibilities include cooking healthy meals and snacks (aligned with the family’s clean-eating lifestyle), laundry, tidying children's spaces, teaching responsibility, and caring for children during sick days or school closures. Home management tasks involve grocery shopping, laundry, dishes, errands, overseeing home projects, organizing spaces, and assisting with calendar planning and household inventory.
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is required for the position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • Two+ years of family assistant, nanny manager or nanny experience with school-age children required.
  • Must be patient, loving, supportive, and have a positive personality. Always uses kind language even during tantrums.
  • Excellent understanding of child development in different age stages.
  • Experience with special needs children is a plus.
  • Must be a high-functioning, self-starter, critical thinker, and organized.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong time management and communication skills.
  • They will have the ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage the children.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$34+/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $56,000 - $70,000 per year (gross). Additional comp for over-time hours.
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew before hire)
