Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week guaranteed. Must be flexible to help with evening and weekends as needed.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-in. The family is happy to provide a private cabin apartment on the property.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

Education and care will be needed for one bright, curious, and active 6-year-old boy. He thrives on outdoor play, enjoys participating in after-school activities, and often travels with his parents throughout the year. Over the past year, he has been homeschooled, and the family is now seeking a warm, experienced private educator who can create a well-rounded, engaging learning environment tailored to his unique interests and learning style. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, structure, and flexibility to keep him curious, challenged, and excited about learning year-round.

About the Pets:

The property is home to a variety of animals, including horses and dogs.

This family has a great relationship with their current nanny/private educator, and they are seeking their next long-term relationship.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

This role will require all standard private educator and nanny responsibilities, including staying on top of lesson planning, engaging their son in fun and educational activities, and supporting his learning and development. In addition, the nanny will handle all typical childcare duties such as preparing meals, managing his laundry, coordinating after-school activities, and accompanying him during travel.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel is required for the position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of teaching experience and at least one year of nanny experience is required.
All candidiates must be active and willing to join in fun outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, swimming, and biking.
A Colorado state-certified teacher is highly desired but not required.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a love for the outdoors and feel comfortable living in a mountain town. All applicants should enjoy outdoor activities, be flexible in their approach, and feel confident in their teaching abilities. A willingness and ability to travel is essential. The family is hoping to find a Private Educator/Nanny who can grow with them and remain a part of their lives for years to come.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $40-$55+/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $83,200 - $128,000 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days, and a vehicle to drive on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a college graduate.
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
