Located at: University & Exposition
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday to Friday, with start times between 7-8 AM and end times around 6 PM. They are happy to guarantee 45 hours per week, with flexibility to work up to 50 hours. The family is offering traditional overtime and will also need two date nights a month.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for ideally 2+ years!

  • The family is expecting their first child, a baby due in December 2024. The child will be an infant when care begins in February 2025. As this is a newborn role, responsibilities will focus on nurturing, developmental care, and supporting milestones in the baby’s first year.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties, including feeding and bottle preparation (with support for breastfeeding routines as needed), diaper changes, maintaining hygiene, and managing nap schedules and sleep routines. The nanny will also engage the baby in age-appropriate developmental activities, clean and sterilize bottles and feeding supplies, and maintain a tidy and organized nursery. Additional responsibilities include washing and folding the baby’s laundry, tracking developmental milestones to keep parents informed, and assisting with scheduling appointments and activities for the baby. Light household support related to the baby, such as meal preparation and errands, may also be required.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is required 4 times a year for 4 to 10 days at a time.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 5 years of professional nanny experience is required.
  • 2+ years of recent infant experience in the last 5 years.
  • Previous experience working over 45 hours a week.
  • Newborn Certifications and trainings are desired but not required
  • A fluent French speaker is strongly desired ( not required).
  • A higher level of education past high school is required.
  • The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced and nurturing professional with a strong background in newborn care. They must be easygoing, adaptable, and flexible with scheduling to meet the family’s dynamic needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross) with overtime and $38/hr+ for a French-speaking candidate. Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $70,200 - $86,450+ per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement and relocation assistance (if the candidate speaks french) based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with a recent infant reference.
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19
