Located at: Erie

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 30 hours a week guaranteed with a schedule provided a month in advance. Typical hours will be 12-6pm Monday - Thursday, Friday 11-5pm. Hours could also increase pending FA's availability, if they can accommodate extra hours.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

Start Date: Jan 6th 2025

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 5 and 2.

About the Children:

Both children attend preschool full-time, so primary care will be after school. Both children are extremely active and enjoy outdoor activities. The family's oldest is high function and on the spectrum, so prior special needs experience is required. The family assiaint will spend 50% of the day on household and personal assiaint tasks.

Dual working parents.

About the Pets:

A very small and sweet dog lives in the home. The family assistant will let the dog out with supervision throughout the day.

This family has a great relationship with their past nannies and is now looking for a great family assiaint to help keep their lives running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties will include scheduling and managing appointments, such as doctor’s visits, dog grooming, and household maintenance, as well as coordinating quotes and bids for various projects. The role also involves organizing and maintaining household schedules and calendars, running errands like grocery shopping or picking up dry cleaning, and assisting with light household organization, including managing supplies and inventory. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation or planning, light cooking ( simple meals), and providing childcare support.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel would be nice however not required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

1- year of house management, nanny management, or family assiaint experience is required.
2 years of in-home experience is required.
Special needs experience professional or personal.
Must be a good swimmer and have a good driving record.
A higher level of education is preferred but not required.
Must be willing to cook or follow meal kit recipes.
The ideal candidate for this Family Assistant role is a highly organized and proactive individual with experience in childcare and household management. They should excel in being proactive.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$32/hour (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days, and a vehicle to drive on the job.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Must have a good driving record and be comfortable driving in the snow. The family will provide a car for driving on the job.
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew ASAP)
Have all standard vaccinations.
