Position Highlights

A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Lincoln & Yosemite
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The schedule will be Monday 7:45am to 5:30pm, Tuesday 7:45am to 6:15pm, Wednesday 7:45am to 11/12pm and every other Friday 9am to 5pm. He would love additional as needed support and also if the nanny is open to it every other Saturday morning when both kids are in sports (not required, but desired). He is happy to guarantee 60 hours every two weeks.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a 6+ month long commitment.
Start Date: ASAP

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children, ages 6 and 8.
About the Children:
  • Care will be for two joyful and active school-aged children. The 6-year-old little girl is creative, she loves ballet, sports, crafts, and imaginative play. The oldest child, who is 8, is energetic and enthusiastic about wrestling, swimming, and mountain biking. He thrives in a structured environment and may require a patient and understanding approach to support occasional sensitivity and anxiety. Children enjoy outdoor play, creative activities, and a structured routine with limited screen time. The children are raised Christian, so all candidates must be comfortable with reading the children's Christian books.
About the Family:
  • A dedicated conservative Christian single father who works full-time as a physician and from a home office on occasion.
  • Dad and Mom are divorced and co-parenting.
  • Dad is actively involved with the children, so the candidate must be comfortable with his presence and engagement after school and on weekends.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • This schedule allows for a lot of dedicated household management. So all candidates must be proactive around the home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard family assistant duties, including light housekeeping, cooking, meal prep, family laundry, dishes, errands, grocery shopping, and organizational projects.
  • Managing vendors and household tasks, including unpacking backpacks, changing sheets, making beds, and preparing for the week ahead.
  • Assisting with homework, flashcards, and reading/math practice.
  • Packing and cleaning out lunches.
  • Managing the family calendar.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is not required for this position, but Dad would love someone open to occasional trips to the mountains or Florida with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of experience working with school-age children
  • Must have at least one year of household management or family assistant experince.
  • Adept at managing challenging behaviors and providing a structured yet loving environment.
  • Previous experience with household management duties is required.
  • A second language would be a plus but is not required.
  • Must be able to help with light homework.
  • Energetic and engaging personality with a passion for staying active, riding bikes, doing arts and crafts, and creating fun, educational activities.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$36/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $42,000 - $54,000 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
