Located at: E. Virginia & S. Downing St.

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00/8:30am- 5:00/5:15pm. This family will guarantee 35-37 hours/week, based on candidates preference of start/end time. The occasional Friday may be needed (0-8/ year) - parents will be sure to give a month's notice! They are also open to providing extra hours for babysitting.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.

Commitment/Contract Length: Longterm 1+ year commitment

Start Date: Feb 2025

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children, ages 5 & 3 years old.

About the Children:

This sister/brother duo loves being active by riding bikes & scooters, going to the park, doing art projects, and enjoy playing in their backyard! They are looking for an active and fun individual to keep them busy!

About the Family:

One parent works from home but will be mostly working at an office until June.

About the Pets:

A 10-year-old lab mix is a part of this friendly family, so must love dogs!

Additional Notes:

This returning ABC family has had two wonderful ABC nannies. They are hoping to find a nanny manager to grow with their family. As time goes by and the children transition into school in a few years, the role is expected to evolve into more of a family assistant as the children get older.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny manager duties including meal prepping, grocery shopping, cooking for children, laundry, light ironing, errands, managing & scheduling vendors, light tidying up/organizational projects, etc.

Travel Requirements:

Travel is not required; however, they would love help with occasional overnights 3 to 4 times a year.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

3 years of in-home experience with toddlers and school-age children
1+ years of experience with household management duties.
The ideal candidate will be active, energetic, and skilled at engaging preschoolers, fostering a love for outdoor play and planning enriching, creative activities that stimulate development. This candidate will have excellent communication skills to interact with both parents and children effectively, ensuring seamless collaboration and understanding. They will be proactive, self-motivated, and require minimal guidance, taking the initiative to plan and implement weekly activities that keep the children engaged and learning.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, comfortable using family apps and calendars to stay organized, and enthusiastic about contributing to the family’s busy yet rewarding environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $28-$34/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $54,600- $61,880 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

All standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of PTO, paid major holidays and guaranteed hours are being offered

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
