Located at: Cherry Hills
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the school year plus two Saturday's a month to help with sports practices. The family is happy to guarantee 35 hours per week. During the summer the schedule will flex to a 10am to 6pm schedule.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 6+ months.
Start Date: Feb/March 2025

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 9 and 7 years old.
About the Children:

The children attend full-time school and are actively involved in various afterschool activities, including lacrosse, flag football, and jiu-jitsu. A key responsibility of this role will be transporting them to and from their activities. The family is seeking a highly organized and nurturing Family Assistant to support them during this busy time. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the children’s homework to ensure they stay on track academically.

About the Family:
  • Dad works full-time and will be in and out throughout the day.
  • MOM will be undergoing chemotherapy and other adjuvant therapies during this time, so she will be in and out of the home. The family is looking for a highly organized and loving Family Assistant who can provide stability and support, helping to maintain a sense of normalcy in the children’s daily lives.
About the Pets:
  • One dog lives in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • This family has a great relationship with their ABC Nanny when there children were younger.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • In addition to providing transportation and homework assistance, the Family Assistant will be responsible for all standard family assistant duties, including family laundry, dishes, organizing, packing lunches, grocery shopping, running errands, and feeding the dog. The role may also involve assisting with specialty projects as needed to help keep the household running smoothly during this time.
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is required 1 to 2 times for 4 to 7 days at a time.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of in-home nanny, nanny manager or family assiaint experience with school-age children.
  • Previous experience with household management.
  • Must have furthered your education past highschool.
  • Must be able to help with 1st and 3rd-grade homework.
  • Spanish speaking would be a big plus ( not required).
  • The ideal candidate will be patient, organized, flexible, and adaptable. The family is not entirely sure of all their needs as the mother begins treatment, so they would love to find a warm and understanding person who can seamlessly become part of their family. Their boys learned Spanish from their first nanny, so a Spanish-speaking nanny would be a big plus, though it is not a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $28-$38/hour (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
