Located at: Observatory Park
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The schedule will be provided two weeks in advance, Monday through Friday. Any weekend hours, ranging from 0 to 2 per month, will be scheduled at least one month in advance. The family is happy to guarantee 70 hours every two weeks. If the candidate has specific weekend availability or requests, they may coordinate at least one month in advance, as weekend hours will typically only be needed when the mother is working long shifts. Typical weekday hours will fall between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Most hours will be scheduled during the week.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year or more.
Start Date: March 2025

Children's Ages: Care will be for one infant who will be 4 months old.
About the Children:

Primary care will be for the family's newborn baby boy, who is on a great schedule with the help of the Huckleberry app. Minimal childcare will be needed for his 14-year-old older brother, who is in the home 50% of the time. While care for him will be very light, he may occasionally need a ride here or there.

About the Family:
  • Dual working parents. Dad works from home and travels and mom works shift work in 12 to 24 hour time blocks.
About the Pets:
  • One small dog lives in the home.

  • This family has a wonderful relationship with their night nanny and is seeking a long-term nanny who can foster a similarly collaborative and strong bond with them

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • Responsibilities include all standard nanny duties, such as children's laundry, dishes, washing bottles, meal prep, light housekeeping, and errands. Additionally, the family is looking for someone who can plan engaging sensory and developmental activities to support their child's growth
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is strongly desired 1 to 5 times a year.
  • 1 to 3 overnights might also be needed if Dad is traveling and Mom works a 24-hour shift.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of infant experience.
  • A second language would be a big plus however it is not required.
  • The ideal candidate will be confident in their knowledge and skills in infant development, proactive in planning activities and outings, and passionate about keeping the little one engaged and growing. They should also be flexible, adaptable, and accommodating to the family's needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $27-$32/hour (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, 8 days of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days, and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
