Position Highlights

Located at: Harvard and Downing
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Thursday 7:30 - 4:30, Friday 7:30 - noon. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.
Start Date: June 2025

Children's Ages: Care will be for one child who is 4 months old.
About the Children:
  • Their happy and healthy 4 month old daughter is a very content, easy baby who has become very social in the past month.
  • She loves smiling and giggling, makes eye contact, and is actively rolling over.
  • Their baby girl has been exclusively nursed and takes one bottle every evening.
  • She has fallen naturally into a daily consistent eating and napping schedule.
About the Family:
  • Dual-working parents.
  • Dad works from home in a private home office space but also travels half the month for work.
  • Mom's job is very flexible and she works from home every other week when Dad is out of town.
  • Mom is returning to work at the end of June after her maternity leave so would love for the nanny to overlap for a week or two prior to her returning to work.
About the Pets:

 

  • This family has 2 small friendly dogs, both Havanese - all candidates must be pet friendly.
Additional Notes:
  • These wonderful first-time parents have a casual and warm atmosphere in their home and want their nanny to feel comfortable and welcome.
  • They had a night doula for 12 weeks and really liked her and found her to be a great source of support.
  • They are ideally seeking a nanny who sees this as a longterm arrangement and who would desire to grow with their family to 4 - 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties, including total and complete childcare and baby-related household tasks.
Travel Requirements:

 

  • No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2+ years of professional experience with infants.
  • Being comfortable with first-time hands-on and involved parents who work part-time from home.
  • Ideal candidate is reliable, trustworthy, communicative and seeking a longterm commitment -- open to growing with their family for the next 3-5 years.
  • Engaged and with an ownership mindset: empowered to help create and maintain structure (i.e., implementing and making age appropriate recommendations and changes to schedules and routines) and plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities.
  • Must be proactive, engaging and open to a variety of activities and outings (sensory activities, story time at the local library, daily walks, and more).

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $28-$32/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $58,240 - $66,560 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a monthly health insurance stipend based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
