Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 10/11/30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasionally 7pm when mom is traveling for work. The family is happy to provide 30 to 40 hours per week depending on the candidates needs.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year

Children's Ages: Light care will be for two children ages 11 and 14.
About the Children:

The oldest is attending high school this year. He enjoys sports like basketball, lacrosse, tennis, and skiing. He is also musically inclined and plays piano. He is organized, a strong student, and stays on top of his schedule. The youngest is entering middle school and is bright and creative, with a love for music, especially violin (Suzuki method). He benefits from gentle structure and guidance to stay on track with responsibilities and routines. This role is less hands-on caregiving and more mentorship, support, and supervision, helping with schedules, lessons, and accountability.

About the Family:
  • This is a thoughtful, welcoming, and active family with two working parents who travel occasionally. They value curiosity, independence, and lifelong learning, and are looking for a proactive partner who can help keep their home running smoothly while supporting their children in a positive and engaging way.
About the Pets:
  • There is one sweet dog in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • This is a longtime ABC family who has had great relationships with their past nannies. This last annny has been with them since 2023. While they are sad to see her go, they look forward to welcoming a new teammate!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • This role will involve overseeing the day-to-day household operations to ensure a clean, organized, and smoothly running home, including managing grocery shopping, doing dishes,  household inventory, and overall organization.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating family laundry, tidying, and light housekeeping, as well as running errands such as dry cleaning, returns, and restocking. You will also oversee vendors, service providers, and home maintenance projects, while implementing systems and organizational improvements where needed. In addition, the role includes preparing simple, healthy meals for the family and maintaining kitchen organization and food inventory, with cooking experience being a plus but not required.
  • Support for the children will include providing transportation to and from school and extracurricular activities, helping manage schedules and routines, and engaging with them in a positive, encouraging, and structured way that fosters independence and accountability.
  • The position also includes administrative and logistical support, such as managing calendars, appointments, and scheduling, assisting with travel planning, researching camps and tutors, and handling general household-related administrative tasks.
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is not required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 4+ years of experience as a household manager, nanny manager, or family assistant experince.
  • Professional, reliable, and highly proactive around the home.
  • Comfortable managing a busy household with multiple moving parts
  • Tech-savvy and confident using apps, calendars, and organizational systems
  • The ideal candidate is warm, dependable, detail-oriented, and naturally anticipates needs. They enjoy staying busy, communicating clearly, and building a long-term, trusted relationship with the family.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30–$35/hour (gross), with a target of around $33/hour depending on experience, education, and longevity in similar roles. This equates to an annualized compensation of approximately $46,800–$70,000 (gross), depending on hours worked.
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, 2+ weeks of PTO (5 days to coordinate with family schedule if possible), paid major holidays, and a health insurance stipend depending on the targeted hourly rate.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend depending on the hourly rate.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations.
