Located at: University & Belleview
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Flexibility is especially important during May, including occasional evenings beyond 7:00 PM and optional weekend support if available. The schedule may become more flexible in June and July.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term 12-week contract position.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two school-aged children, ages 10 and 11.
About the Children:
  • These two are bright, active, and fun-loving kids who thrive with an engaging and energetic caregiver.
  • The 11-year-old is upbeat, social, and entering that exciting pre-teen phase. She enjoys horseback riding, lacrosse, tutoring, and staying active after school. The youngest is a 10-year-old playful, chatty, and full of personality—he loves sports, magic tricks, and keeping things fun.
About the Family:
  • This is a warm, close-knit single-parent household with a casual but fast-paced dynamic and many moving parts. Mom is very hands-on and present in the home, balancing a demanding season personally and professionally, and is looking for a true partner to help divide and conquer.
About the Pets:
  • The family has two friendly dogs—a Goldendoodle and a Terrier mix - all candidates must be pet friendly.
Additional Notes:
  • This family has had a wonderful experience with their two au pairs and is looking forward to welcoming someone who views this role as a true profession and an extension of their parenting team. They would love to find a nanny who is proactive, communicative, and transparent—someone who addresses concerns openly rather than waiting, and who will be a trusted partner for their family.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard family assistant duties including school pickups and driving children to sports, activitites, and appointments. Children. Laundry, keeping children's spaces organized , supporting errands and household support and household purging/administrative support over the summer.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 3+ years of nanny and/or family assistant experience
  • Fun, energetic, engaging personality who genuinely enjoys older children
  • Proactive self-starter who anticipates needs and communicates openly
  • Organized and comfortable balancing childcare with household support
  • Safe, reliable driver with an excellent driving record
  • Someone who can bring positive energy while supporting a busy household through a demanding season

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30–$35/hour (gross). Based on 40 guaranteed hours per week, this equates to $14,400–$16,800 gross over the 12-week contract.
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • Guaranteed hours
  • Opportunity for additional hours through schedule flexibility and optional weekend support
  • Potential overnight pet sitting opportunities, if desired
Any Additional Perks:
  • Family vehicle may be available for work-related driving (or candidate may use their own vehicle)

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19
