Hire a night NannY

A Good Night's Rest is Just a Call Away

Experienced nannies are our speciality – day and night. Our night nannies (known as “night nurses” in some parts of the country) are experienced, carefully vetted caregivers who specialize in overnight care for newborns and infants.

Their primary role is to tend to your baby’s every need: feeding, diapering and soothing them back to sleep at night. They’ll also work along side you to create healthy sleep habits, assist with baby-related household chores, and ensure you’re able to recharge for the daytime demands of parenting.

From the moment you arrive home from the hospital until your baby is sleeping through the night, you can rest easy knowing we’ve got you covered.

HIRE A Newborn Care Specialist

Infant Experts - Available Days & Nights

Newborn Care Specialists (NCS) – formerly called “baby nurses” or “maternity nurses” – are formally  trained professionals who specialize in newborn care, day or night. They provide hands-on, nurturing care for your baby and nonjudgemental support for parents navigating infancy.

NCS’s are well-versed in infant safety, healthy sleep patterns, sleep routines, feeding food allergies/intolerances, as well as infant soothing techniques. Additionally, many of our NCS’s also have experience caring for preemies, multiples, medically fragile babies.

Whenever you need support, we can help. From 2-7 nights a week for the first few months, to 15-20 daytime hours each week, to round-the-clock (a.k.a 24/7), live-in care during your baby’s first 3-6 months, we’ve got you covered!

Hire a Postpartum Doula

Nurturing Support for New Mothers

They say it takes a village to raise a child – consider a Postpartum Doula (PPD) or Registered Nurse (RN) to part of your village. With a focus on maternal care and parental guidance, our PPDs will rally around you while you bond with newborn

They provide flexible, customized support for postpartum families, typically during daytime hours (4-6 hour shifts). Further, these trained professionals offer evidence-based guidance on newborn care and postpartum health, breastfeeding support, and parenting strategies. Additionally, they will also assist with light household chores and even provide care for older siblings while you rest.

Our PPDs and RNs will help you navigate early parenthood with confidence.

Hire a Sleep Consultant

Gentle Sleep Training for Your Little One(s)

Sleep is vital for a child’s development, growth, and overall well-being. Consequently, when a child is not sleeping well the effects can be disruptive, stressful and exhausting for the whole family.  As such, hiring a sleep consultant, also called a sleep trainer, can be a game-changer for parents.

With a sleep consultant’s expert guidance and impartial support, you’ll say goodbye to frustrating bedtime battles and restless nights. They’ll work closely with you to understand your child/children’s sleep challenges, analyze sleep patterns, and assess sleep regressions. Then, they’ll create a personalized sleep plan, and share strategies for ongoing success.

It’s time for you and your little one(s) get a good nights’ rest.

Upon completion, these individuals will be certified as Newborn Care Specialists.

Our three decades of success stems from a multi-faceted approach to candidate recruitment, including our growing Newborn Care service. While we leverage every recruiting resource available to us, a remarkable 60+% of our annual placements consist of repeat providers – on their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th+ placement – and word-of-mouth referrals from other great night nannies, NCS, and infant care experts.

We truly value our strong bond with the NCS community. We host educational seminars, actively participate in NCS conferences, and maintain close ties with agency owners nationwide. These connections have allowed ABC to cultivate a comprehensive, curated candidate network of newborn care providers – the best of the best, and  nothing less.

By fostering trust and delivering unparalleled service, we’ve become the go-to agency for individuals seeking the pinnacle of newborn care staffing expertise.

Yes – ABSOLUTELY! Vetting and identifying great candidates is about so much more than checking a few references and running a background check. Our rigorous applicant screening process, refined over three decades, is designed to identify individuals who have the passion, character, and experience needed to do the job well and weed out the rest. Less than 10% of applicants make the cut.

While it’s advisable to start your search for newborn care earlier rather than later, 3-6+ month lead time is acceptable. Beginning your search early allows us ample time to hand-pick providers specifically for your family, and ensures you have plenty of time to interview potential matches and make a well-informed decision without feeling rushed.

But if you’re short on time, don’t worry! We can help you too. We often have providers who have breaks in their schedules who can assist. Call us and we’re happy to discuss your needs specifically.

Unlike daytime nannies, who are employees of the families they work for, most newborn care providers are considered independent contractors  (1099 vs W2) under the law. They set their own rates, provide their own contracts, and have their own small businesses set up to handle payment professionally.

Each individual’s rate of pay is set based on their area of expertise, experience, certifications, and education. The typically pay ranges we see in this market are:

     – Night nannies: $30 – $40+ per hour
     – Newborn Care Specialists:
$35 – $45+ per hour
     – Postpartum doulas: $40 – $50 per hour
     – Sleep Consultants/Trainers: $45 – $55 per hour
