Located at: Lakewood: near Wadsworth and Hampden
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The core schedule is Monday - Thursday from 7 a.m.-5/5:15 p.m. Family is happy to offer hours on Fridays, if desired, and guarantee 40 hours/week.
Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.
Start Date: Mid August - Early September, 2026

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children, ages 7.5 and 4 years old.
About the Children:
  • The oldest child attends school full-time, while the youngest attends preschool in the afternoons. On a typical day, the nanny will have approximately 2 hours together with both children.
  •  The children are active, engaging and involved in age-appropriate school, extracurricular and social activities.
  • They are looking to hire an organized, schedule-oriented  nanny who will help create a dependable rhythm for the children’s days, including school transportation, activities, meals, playtime and household routines.
About the Family:
  • Both parents work full-time, demanding jobs. Mom primarily works from a private home office and defers to her nanny during the work day. While dad also works full-time, he works from an office space and may travel a few times per month.
  • They're seeking an experienced, full-charge nanny who can confidently manage the children’s schedules and help their household run smoothly while they are working.
About the Pets:
  • The family has a large, friendly Goldendoodle and a little lap dog who stays with mom throughout the day. Candidates should be comfortable around dogs.
Additional Notes:
  • This lovely family had a great relationship with their previous nanny who was college educated and structured, reliable and on-time, friendly and patient, organized and took initiative without needing micro-management. They're looking to build another long-last relationship with a nanny who is  trusting, collaborative and genuinely enjoys working with multiple children at different ages and stages.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties including are required including providing attentive care for the children, managing school and activity transportation, preparing simple meals and snacks, children’s laundry and tidying up child-related spaces.
  • As time allows (while both children are in school), family may request additional support with light errands, meal prep or simple household tasks related to the children's care.
Travel Requirements:
  • The family loves to travel, when they can! They'd love to hire a nanny who wants to join occasionally, but it's not required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • A 4-year college degree is required. Background in Education, course working in ECE, or experience teaching is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with toddlers and school-age children is required, ideally as a nanny, family assistant, or teacher.
  • At least 1-2 years of demonstrated experience caring for and managing the changing needs of 3+ children at different developmental stages is required.
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced, organized and confident full-charge nanny who can manage the schedules and needs of three children while maintaining a calm, dependable household rhythm. The family is looking for someone who is punctual, proactive, communicative and genuinely enjoys building meaningful relationships with older children. Someone who can see what needs to be done, and does it, is ideal.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering a rate of $31-$37/hour (gross) BOE, plus over-time. Based on approximately 40-45 hours per week, estimated annual (gross) compensation ranges from $62,400-$91,390.
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • The family is offering 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid sick time, paid holidays and mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This generous family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend of $75-$125 per month based on offer.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Have all standard vaccinations
