Located at: Lakewood: near W Alameda Pkwy & C-470

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The core schedule is Monday - Thursday from 6:45 a.m.-5/5:15/5:45 p.m. Family is happy to offer hours on Fridays, if desired, and guarantee 40 hours/week.

Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

Start Date: Early September 2026

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children, ages 8, 6 and 3 years old.

About the Children:

The older children attend school full-time, so primary daytime care will be for the family's youngest, who attends part-time preschool. He is initially a bit shy but quickly becomes silly and adventurous. His older sisters adore him and stay busy with dance and gymnastics after school.

About the Family:

This is a dual-working-parent household. Mom has a private office when working from home and occasionally travels for work, providing opportunities for additional hours when needed.

About the Pets:

The family has one friendly Bernese Mountain Dog. They would love someone who is comfortable taking him on daily walks and occasionally bringing him to grooming appointments.

Additional Notes:

This is a wonderful repeat ABC family who has worked with our agency since their oldest child was born. They have had three long-term nannies through ABC. They truly value building a lasting relationship with their caregiver.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

Standard Family Assistant Duties and Responsibilities include: Children's laundry, Family sheets and towels, Loading and unloading the dishwasher, Light housekeeping and general tidying, Organizational projects, Meal preparation for the children, Running errands, Helping keep the home organized and prepared for the family's busy schedule

Travel Requirements:

The family loves to travel, when they can! They'd love to hire a nanny who wants to join occasionally, but it's not required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

Hold a college degree (required)
Have professional experience caring for two or more children simultaneously
Have previous family assistant or household management experience
Be punctual, reliable, and an excellent driver
Be highly organized, proactive, and able to anticipate the family's needs
Enjoy creating structure while confidently managing busy after-school activities
Have a genuine passion for supporting families and working with children

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering a rate of $31-$37/hour (gross) BOE, plus over-time. Based on approximately 40-45 hours per week, estimated annual (gross) compensation ranges from $62,400-$91,390.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

The family is offering 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid sick time, paid holidays and mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

This generous family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend of $75-$125 per month based on offer.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified
Have all standard vaccinations
