A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Bellaire and 1st

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, and occasionally Tuesdays noon to 8 p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week. The family does travel to Vail frequently so some flexibility for weekends and overnights is required.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out, but when traveling to Vail the nanny will have their own bedroom and en suite bathroom.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Start Date: June

Children's Ages: Care will be for one 1.5 year old boy and in December a baby girl will be joining the family.

About the Children:

This little boy is sweet, thoughtful and open to those he's connected with.
He's shy at first, but once he warms up, he is playful and really fun.
He loves to be outside and climbs on everything.
He will become an older brother in December.

About the Family:

Mom is a SAHM and will be in and out
Dad works a hybrid schedule and is in and out as well.

About the Pets:

This family has one golden Pyrenees - all candidates must be pet friendly.

Additional Notes:

This family has a great relationship with their current nanny, but is looking for a career nanny who takes this role seriously and as their profession. They are looking forward to welcoming in a new nanny to their home - someone who will be a part of their parenting team - very soon.
The family has a bi-weekly housekeeper and a daily dog walker.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties including child meal prep, light child laundry, general tidying, and occasionally running errands or grocery shopping.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel is required for the position. Family takes approximately 2-3 international trips per year and will need their nanny to travel with them.
Travel to Vail is more frequent. The family stays up there about 30 days a year.
Travel compensation will be provided.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ year of nanny experience with newborns, infants, and toddlers.
A multi-year mindset and wanting to grow with this family is required.
A background in early childhood education is a big plus.
Someone who can Foster independence and teach responsibilities will thrive in this role.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, career nanny who is happy to get out of the house with the children.
A firm requirement is that no social media or phone use is allowed while the children are awake; only communication with parents is allowed.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$40/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $62,400 - $83,200 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

A travel stipend while traveling on the job will be provided.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations, including TDAP, flu, tdap, and original COVID-19.
