Located at: Colorado Springs / Monument area, near I-25 and Baptist Rd.

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Family is seeking a Monday through Friday nanny for 40 guaranteed hours per week. They are open to either an 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. schedule based on the nanny’s preference.

Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year or more.

Start Date: Mid to End of October, 2026

Children's Ages: Care will be for one infant, who will be approximately 3 months adjusted age at the time of the nanny’s start.

About the Children:

Care will focus entirely on the family’s infant daughter, who was born approximately eight weeks early. Her parents do not currently anticipate developmental delays and are looking for an experienced nanny who can confidently support her feeding, sleep, development and day-to-day care.
She is currently taking bottles and continuing to work on feeding. Mom hopes to continue breastfeeding a few times throughout the day, so the nanny should be comfortable supporting a breastfeeding parent and working collaboratively around feeds.
Her parents would love a nanny who is developmentally minded, brings ideas to the role and enjoys getting out of the house for age-appropriate walks, activities and outings as she grows.

About the Family:

These first-time parents are excited to welcome an experienced nanny who can bring confidence, perspective and strong infant knowledge into their home. They value a nanny who is comfortable sharing ideas and helping them navigate each new stage.
Mom and dad would enjoy working with someone who is outgoing, approachable and a fluid communicator who will keep them informed and build a comfortable, collaborative relationship over time.
The family is hoping to find someone who genuinely wants to become a long-term part of their parenting team. A one-year commitment is required, but two years or longer would be ideal.

About the Pets:

Two very friendly dogs are part of the household, including a 55-pound Elkhound and a 45-pound Husky. Both are regularly around the home, so candidates must genuinely enjoy dogs and be comfortable working around medium-to-large breeds.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties are requested, including attentive infant care, bottle preparation and feeding, supporting age-appropriate sleep routines, diapering, developmental play, tummy time, walks and outings, maintaining the child’s spaces and supplies, child's laundry/linens and preparing food for the child as she transitions to solids.
The nanny’s primary responsibility will be the baby’s care, development and overall well-being. The family would love someone who will take initiative in planning developmentally appropriate activities, introduce new ideas as she grows and confidently guide the rhythm of her day.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

All candidate must have 3-5+ years of professional infant experience. Family is open to nannying, daycare, newborn care or a comparable professional childcare setting, with strong references.
Previous experience caring for premature infants is strongly preferred and will be an important consideration in the family’s hiring decision.
Additional infant, newborn or child development coursework and certifications are welcomed. A college degree is not required.
The ideal candidate will be highly confident with infants and comfortable bringing knowledge, ideas and age-appropriate developmental activities into the role rather than waiting for detailed direction. The family is looking for someone who is outgoing, warm and communicative, while also being respectful of parents who may be more reserved initially. A nanny who enjoys getting out of the house, communicates openly and wants to develop a strong long-term relationship with the family will be an excellent fit.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $25-$30/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $52,000 - $62,400 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

The family is offering two weeks of paid vacation in addition to a paid week around Christmas/New Year, paid sick leave, paid holidays and mileage reimbursement for work-related driving.

Any Additional Perks:

A family vehicle may be available for work-related driving if needed.

Required Qualifications

Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
