This thoughtful and engaging family has two sweet and inquisitive children: a bright and curious 7-year-old girl and her playful 4-year-old brother. The family embraces Montessori learning and the Love and Logic approach to discipline.

About the Family:

Both parents work outside the home, with some flexibility to work from their home office.

About the Pets:

There are no pets in the home.

This family has a great relationship with their previous nanny. They are looking forward to welcoming in a new family assistant to their home very soon.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties, including meal prep, light housekeeping, cooking, family laundry, errands, unloading and loading the dishwasher, and home organization projects.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel is requested for the position. The family takes approximately two one-week-long domestic trips per year and would like their family assistant to travel with them.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

5+ years of nanny experience with school-age children
3+ years of previous experience with household management as a family assistant.
A background in child development, familiarity with Montessori and Love and Logic, and a passion for family support are all strong bonuses.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on organization, routine, and household management. You must be confident in the kitchen, love planning and preparing meals, and bring a cheerful, can-do attitude to each day.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $33-$38/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $73,788 - $93,860 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

Have a minimum of 5+ years of applicable professional experience, verifiable with references
Must have at least 3+ years of family assistant experience with strong references.
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, TDaP, and COVID-19, and all boosters
