Children's Ages: Care will be for two children, ages 7 and 11

About the Children:

These children are active and creative, and can't wait to meet you! The oldest is 11 and loves both reading and legos. The youngest is 7, and enjoys drawing, building with clay, and anything arts and crafts!

About the Pets:

A puppy will be joining the family by the end of this year!

Additional Notes:

This active and worldly family is incredibly excited to welcome you to their home, and lives! The family practices unschooling and deeply values the opportunity for their children to learn and explore the world around them in a non-traditional (school) environment. The family is looking forward to welcoming a candidate who can utilize their teaching background to create a curriculum (or follow a program) that lends itself to their children’s learning styles!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

Duties will include engaging the children in daily activities that foster creativity and independence, healthy meal prep, the children’s laundry, and light tidying around the home. The role will be 50% Private Educator duties and 50% Nanny/Household Management duties

Travel Requirements:

Travel is highly desired in this role! The family would love to bring you on domestic and international trips 2-10 times each year. Not required, but strongly desired!

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

A four-year college degree is required
Teaching experience is strongly desired
Willingness to sign an NDA
Desire to commit longterm
The ideal candidate will be engaged, and excited to explore the outdoors with the family, and thrive on flexibility

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

$33-$40/hr + full benefits package

Benefits and Perks Offered:

Benefits will include 2 weeks of PTO, paid major holidays, paid sick time, a health insurance stipend and mileage reimbursement. Additional benefits to be discussed.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Posses a four-year degree
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
