A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: High St & Exposition

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. plus two Saturday's a month that are agreed upon in advance. When the nanny works a Saturday they can pick a Monday or a Friday off. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week. They would also love a few overnights a year.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

Start Date: July 28th 2025

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will mainly be for a newborn with occasional care for a 3 year old who is in daycare full-time.

About the Children:

The oldest child is in daycare full time, so primary care will be for the family’s youngest, who will be here in July 2025. Mom is having a high-risk pregnancy and will be home for the first quarter as she will need help lifting and caring for the newborn.

About the Family:

Dual working parents with private office space.
Mom will be home for the first quarter until she returns to work in 2026.

About the Pets:

There is one dog in the home.

The family had a great relationship with their last ABC Nanny, whom they loved!!! They are looking for the next great match.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties, including making bottles for the baby, washing bottles, helping with cleaning the breast pumps, making meals for the children, unloading and loading the dishwasher, and children's laundry.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel domestically would be nice, but not required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 years of infant experience.
The ideal nanny would be someone with a warm, maternal presence who is calm, gentle, and fully engaged with their child.
They’re looking for someone who naturally understands children, can confidently follow and support the parents’ lead, and sets clear but loving boundaries. Their dream candidate would be proactive and developmentally informed—someone who can recognize and guide the child through milestones. They deeply valued their previous nanny’s ability to create a peaceful, structured environment, follow instructions gracefully, and offer a sense of calm and confidence, especially as first-time parents. A nanny who brings that same intuitive, “magic touch” while remaining accommodating and supportive would be a perfect fit.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $27-$31/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $56,000 - $64,480 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, and paid sick days.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations.
