A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Arapahoe & 28th

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 11:30am to 6 or 6:30 pm. Most weeks will be 1pm to 6pm but they will pay for the FA to be available if needed. They would also love one date night per week. The date night will be on a Thursday or on a weekend day or night (pre-arranged and approved by both parties in advance). The family is happy to guarantee 35 hours per week and would love FA to flex up to 40 hours a week on a rare occasion.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Start Date: August 4th

About the Children:

This child is in school full-time, so the family assistant’s responsibilities will include school pick-up, helping with homework, and driving to after-school activities. She enjoys soccer, gymnastics, track, and staying active.

Mom is thoughtful, kind and looking forward to a strong partnership with her new family assistant.

About the Pets:

There is one dog in the home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties, including school pick-up and activity drop-offs, homework help, light housekeeping, running errands, laundry, dishes, managing the family calendar, meal prep, and light cooking/following recipes.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of nanny experience with school-age children
Previous experience with household management duties
A degree is strongly preferred but is not a requirement; they are open to some college.
Help with meal ideas or prep would be appreciated.
A proactive, helpful nanny who takes initiative, jumps in with tidying and small tasks, and helps keep daily life running smoothly.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of child development, a loving approach, and the ability to support emotional growth and anxiety.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$34/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $54,600 - $63,700 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 10 days of paid time off, paid major holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

Most weeks will only be 25 to 30 hours a week, and the family is willing to guarantee 35 hours a week.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard childhood vaccinations.
