Located at: Dry Creek and University
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexibility as needed. Fridays off! The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year
Start Date: End of June / beginning of July

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 6-month-old and 7 years old.
About the Children:
  • The baby is meeting all normal developmental milestones and is already sitting up and crawling! She is combo nursing/bottle fed, follows a great nap and feeding schedule, and enjoys engaging developmental activities and outings.
  • Big sister is an intelligent, curious, and loves science, crafts, and soccer. She enjoys being outdoors, loves the neighborhood pool, and is very independent and social.
About the Family:
  • Mom works a hybrid schedule between Boulder and home, while Dad works primarily from the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
  • This dual-career family values open communication, teamwork, and creating a warm, supportive home environment.
About the Pets:
  • The family has a pet lizard.

  • This family has worked with several nannies in the past and has found the best matches are career nanny-minded professionals who are proactive, communicative, and experienced. They are looking for someone who is stable, independent, and comfortable navigating both infant and school-age care.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties including—

    • Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for both children
    • Supporting infant developmental milestones through play, outings, and structured activities
    • Taking the baby to museums, classes, walks, and other engaging outings
    • Transporting the older child to and from summer camps, activities, and occasional appointments
    • Assisting with children’s meal prep, bottles, snacks, and maintaining feeding schedules
    • Child-related tidying including children’s laundry, dishes, toys, and play areas
    • Running occasional family errands and helping put away delivered groceries
    • Providing proactive communication and daily updates to parents
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 3–5+ years of professional nanny experience strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years of infant experience required
  • Experience caring for both infants and school-age children
  • Career nanny mindset strongly preferred
  • Understanding of infant developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities
  • Comfortable managing school pickups/drop-offs, outings, and summer schedules
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and independent approach
  • Ability to confidently take initiative while maintaining open communication with parents
  • Organized, reliable, warm, and engaging personality
  • Comfortable in diverse environments
  • Second language skills are a plus, but not required

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $62,400–$72,800 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2 weeks of paid time off, paid major holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

 

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
