Children's Ages: Care will be for one child, age 9, who recently completed third grade.

About the Children:

She is extremely bright, funny, caring, and loving. While she can be a little shy initially, she becomes very social once comfortable. She loves reading, Harry Potter, gymnastics, sewing club, camping, and spending time outdoors. She is active, curious, and enjoys engaging conversations.

About the Family:

This is a dual-career family with demanding executive-level careers.
Dad works a hybrid schedule and also travels periodically for work.
Mom currently works a hybrid schedule but will soon transition into a fully remote position with occasional travel.

About the Pets:

There are no pets in the home but may be welcoming a fish into the household soon.

Additional Notes:

The family has experience employing nannies in the past and has learned that their ideal candidate balances both childcare and household support. They are seeking someone who understands that the child's needs come first while also helping keep the household running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

This role includes all standard family assistant duties, such as preparing breakfast, assisting with morning routines and school readiness, and providing safe transportation to and from school, activities, and appointments as needed.
Additional responsibilities include managing the child’s laundry and linens, organizing and maintaining the child’s clothing, grocery shopping, and running household errands. The nanny/family assistant will also support activity preparation, including gymnastics and other extracurriculars, help prepare for family travel, and assist with light household organization. Simple family meal preparation with guidance is appreciated but not required.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Previous Family Assistant or household management experience

Aligned with the family's behavioral and parenting approach
Comfortable working independently while parents work from home
Strong communication skills and ability to take initiative

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$40/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed schedule of 21 hours per week, this equates to $630–$840 per week (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 1 week of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

The family is open to providing a family vehicle for work-related transportation needs.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
