Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Fridays with an earlier end time. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year

Children's Ages: Care will be for three children ages 14, 12 and 7.

  • The children are school-aged and active, with busy schedules that require transportation, coordination, and support.
  • As they continue to grow, the family values having a trusted adult who can build meaningful relationships with the children and become a steady source of support and guidance.
About the Family:
  • This is a busy professional family seeking an experienced Family Assistant who can take ownership of household logistics, scheduling, organization, and childcare support during after-school hours.
  • Mom and Dad will be working full-time.
About the Pets:
  • The family has one sweet dog.
Additional Notes:
  • The family's current caregiver has been with them for approximately three years and has been a wonderful fit. She has developed strong relationships with the children and is viewed as much more than a nanny. The children trust her, confide in her, and rely on her for support with school challenges, friendships, and growing up. The family hopes to find someone who can continue building those meaningful relationships while bringing an even stronger family assistant skill set to the role.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard Family Manager and Family Assistant duties, including managing children's schedules, transportation, activities, routines, and occasional sick care, as well as household organization, errands, vendor coordination, family laundry, inventory management, and overall household operations.
Travel Requirements:
  • No regular travel is required for this position. The family would love someone who is open to occasional overnight care if parent travel schedules overlap.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • Strong experience as a family assistant, household manager, or nanny manager required.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable coordinating vendors, appointments, and household projects
  • Experience supporting school-aged children
  • Comfortable driving children and managing busy schedules
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using shared calendars, task management systems, and organizational apps
  • Highly proactive, resourceful, and self-directed
  • Able to anticipate needs and take initiative without being asked, and comfortable making decisions independently and taking ownership of household operations
  • Long-term mindset and desire to become an integral part of the family

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering approximately $33-$37/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of approximately $68,640-$76,960 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • Paid major holidays, Paid sick time, approximately 5 to 6 weeks of paid time off coordinated around the family's travel schedule, including: Thanksgiving week, two weeks during Christmas, and New Year's, Spring Break (most years), and two weeks during the summer. Additional unpaid time off may be requested and considered.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement, depending on the candidate's hourly rate.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations.
