Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The schedule will vary. The family can guarantee 40 hours a week and two consecutive days a off a week. The days off of the week might be weekdays and they are open to nailing down the days with a candidate.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-in or must be local. The family is providing a beautiful fully furnished private 1 bedroom apartment with a bedroom, kitchen, living area on the property in Ridgway.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year

Start Date: ASAP

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for three children ages, 7, 5 and 5 years old.

About the Children:

The oldest child is exceptionally bright, thoughtful, and nurturing. She enjoys puzzles, Legos, helping younger children, violin lessons, skiing, and other intellectually engaging activities. The twins are energetic, active, and incredibly sweet. They enjoy dance, gymnastics,and will be in ski club this year, and a variety of outdoor activities. All three children attend school in Telluride, about 45 minutes from the family's home, Monday through Friday. School hours are approximately 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

About the Family:

Mom and Dad will be around and in and out throughout the day.

About the Pets:

The family has a sweet older cat and a 3-year-old golden. Both are friendly and love people

Additional Notes:

The family enjoys the outdoors and everything mountain living has to offer.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant and household management duties, including running errands, grocery shopping, managing household inventories and supplies, purchasing household items, coordinating deliveries and service providers, organizing children's clothing and belongings, overseeing organizational projects throughout the home, meeting with contractors, obtaining quotes for household and property projects, helping manage maintenance needs across multiple properties, light household administration, pet-related errands and appointments, and assisting with the upkeep of both the family's primary residence and Telluride condo. This role will also include regular driving to nearby towns, including Montrose, for errands, household needs, veterinary appointments, and pet grooming. The ideal candidate is a highly proactive self-starter who naturally identifies what needs attention, takes initiative, and helps keep the household and properties running smoothly without requiring daily direction.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel is desired but not required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of Family Assistant, Household Manager, or similar household support experience
Strong organizational skills and exceptional initiative and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable managing multiple projects independently
Teaching, tutoring, or educational experience or background is highly valued
Able to assist with homework and foster educational growth
Comfortable working in a rural mountain environment
Loves outdoor recreation and mountain living
Must enjoy driving and have a good driving record.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $38-$48/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $80,000 - $100,000 per year (gross) plus a one-bedroom apartment.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 10 days of paid time off, select paid major holidays, paid sick days, housing accommodations, and a vehicle to drive on the job.

The family lives on a beautiful 13-acre property. This position would be an excellent fit for someone who loves mountain living, enjoys the outdoors, and appreciates a quieter, more private lifestyle.
The family provides a beautiful private apartment with a bedroom, kitchen, living space, and private accommodations.
A Tesla Model Y will be provided for all work-related driving.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 5+ years of applicable professional experience, verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and have completed some college (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations.
