Position Highlights

A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: E Wildcat and Skydance Dr
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The family guarantees 80 hours every two weeks, with a dynamic schedule that may include days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Schedules are provided at least 10 days before the start of each month but will include many off days. Mom travels twice monthly for four to five days, and Dad is on call three weeks each month.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.
Start Date: Early September, 2026

Children's Ages: Care will be for 3 children ages 9, 8 and 4.
About the Children:
  • All children attend the same school full-time.
  • The family's oldest enjoys playing lacrosse and basketball. He is the best older brother and is happy to help around the home!
  • The middle child adores his older brother and is very active. He is strong-willed but also sweet.
  • The youngest is going into pre-k, loves to make art, and loves her two older brothers.
About the Family:
  • Dual working pilots who are casual and laid back, and excited to have the help of an organized, proactive, reliable family assistant.
  • Both parents fly internationally and are often gone for 16-18 days of the month.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home as the oldest is allergic to dogs.
Additional Notes:
  • On days the children do not have school, they are open to any and all outings!
  • They are seeking a fun, active FA who can go to the pool, plan fun outings, and keep the children busy while mom and dad work.
  • This will be the family's first full-time childcare provider. They have used nearby family and sitters in the past. They are looking forward to welcoming a family assistant to their home, someone who will be a part of their parenting team!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • Responsibilities include childcare, school transportation, homework support, managing after-school schedules, family meal preparation, children’s cooking, family laundry, errands, grocery shopping, and household organization. Most household-related duties will be completed during the school day.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2+ years of experience with school-age children
  • Previous experience with household management duties
  • Previous experience caring for multiple children simultaneously.
  • Must be a good swimmer and comfortable watching the children at the pool.
  • Must be able to help manage the children's school and homework.
  • The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to fill in seamlessly while mom and dad are traveling for work. They should be 110% reliable, responsible, dependable, trustworthy, and a good role model.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $31-$34/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $64,480 - $70,720 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2 weeks of paid time off, the candidate can select 4 paid holidays of their choosing, paid sick days, and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.
  • PTO should be requested 2 months in advance so Mom and Dad can plan around their work schedules.
  • Select events on evenings and weekends can be requested in advance so mom and dad can plan their schedule (ex: family wedding or anniversary).
Any Additional Perks:
  • This is a great schedule if you like to have a lot of free days off while still working full-time.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
