A peek behind the front door...

Children's Ages: Light childcare will be needed for the older two children ages, 11 and 14. Majority of the care will be for there youngest who is 6 years old.
About the Children:

This family has three bright, unique children and is looking for someone who will take the time to build a meaningful, individual relationship with each of them. They would love a Family Assistant who brings fresh ideas, encourages new interests, and makes everyday life a little more active, engaging, and fun! Their youngest, age 6, is a bright, energetic boy who will be the primary focus of the childcare portion of this role. He experiences language delays and auditory processing challenges and currently works with a private educator three mornings per week. He thrives with someone who is patient, attentive, playful, and able to meet him where he is developmentally while recognizing his intelligence and capabilities. Their 11-year-old daughter is in fifth grade and completes schooling online, attending in person one day per week. She is fairly independent but would benefit from someone who checks in, helps with snacks, and encourages her to explore activities and interests outside the home. Their oldest daughter, almost 14, is in eighth grade and also attends school primarily online, with one in-person day per week. She will transition to high school next fall. While she is largely independent, the family would love someone who can connect with her, learn what interests her, and thoughtfully encourage her to participate in activities, develop hobbies, and spend more time outside the house.

About the Family:
  • Both parents own a small business, work full-time from home, and are very involved in their children's lives. They are dedicated parents who value collaboration, open communication, and having a strong support system in place.
  • The family especially values opportunities for their children to stay physically active, socialize, and discover activities they genuinely enjoy. Whether it's bike riding, trips to the park, arts and crafts, reading, or trying a new extracurricular activity, they would love someone who brings enthusiasm and creativity to their days.
  • They are looking for a capable, positive, self-motivated individual who takes pride in staying busy, anticipates needs, and genuinely enjoys both children and household responsibilities. The family would love to find someone who can grow with them for years to come!
About the Pets:
  • The family has a sweet, friendly, approximately 30-pound Goldendoodle who loves affection, attention, and the occasional snack! The Family Assistant will help ensure the dog gets a daily walk, either by walking the dog directly or by encouraging the older children to take responsibility.
Additional Notes:
  • After many years of working with au pairs, they are excited to transition to a professional Family Assistant who can become a trusted, long-term part of their household. They are looking for a capable, positive, self-motivated individual who takes pride in staying busy, anticipates needs, and genuinely enjoys both children and household responsibilities. The family would love to find someone who can grow with them for years to come!
