Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 3 years old and 1 year old.

About the Children:

Our oldest is a bright, energetic 3-year-old who loves learning, exploring, and being part of any activity. She’s always curious, quick to pick up new things, and loves outdoor play.
The youngest is an almost 1-year-old with a big personality in the making. He’s crawling, pulling up to stand, and determined to be part of the action at all times. He’s a cheerful little guy who loves splashing in the tub, making noise, and being surrounded by people.

About the Family:

Dad primarily works outside of the home. Mom stays at home full-time.
Family can provide three unique schedule options for their new nanny to choose from:
Option 1: Monday 8a-5p, Wednesday 8a-7p, Thursday 1:30p-7:30p, Friday 7:30a-1:30p
Option 2: Monday and Wednesday noon-7p, Tuesday and Thursday 1:30p-7:30p, Friday 7:30a-1:30p
Option 3: Monday and Wednesday 8a-6p, Thursday 1:30p-7:30p, Friday 7:30a-1:30p
Flexibility, reliability and the ability to support the family's needs, day-to-day, is of the utmost importance for success with this family, and in this great job!

About the Pets:

The family has one cat and will eventually add a dog in the future - all candidates must be pet-friendly.

Additional Notes:

This family has a previous summer nannies. They are looking forward to welcoming a full-time family assistant to their home - someone who will be a part of their parenting team - very soon.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties including child care, child laundry, light household tasks, grocery shopping, and child and family meal prep - just simple family meals, or someone who enjoys being in the kitchen!

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of nanny experience with toddlers
Previous experience with household management duties
Bilingual would be a huge plus
Great cook!
The ideal candidate would be mature, supportive, logical, and capable of setting boundaries in a loving way.
The family wants clear and easy communication with their family assistant.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross) BOE. Family is willing to pay a premium for some flexibility with the schedule, as-needed, and with notice.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job! Gotta love a nanny car!

Any Additional Perks:

This family is open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
