Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Candidiate considered for this position must be flexible to flex there schedule when dad is traveling for work to help 10/11am to 6/7pm. They typically will know his travel schedule at least 1+ week in advance.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year
Start Date: Aug 20th , 2026

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children a newborn due in November and a 3 year old.
About the Children:

Care will primarily be for the family's oldest child, who is an active and outgoing social butterfly. She will be attending preschool three mornings per week. Mom will be home with the newborn for at least the first 9 months before deciding when to return to work. During the hours their oldest is at preschool, the family is looking for the Family Assistant to focus on household management responsibilities, including home organization, running errands, dog walking, and helping keep the household running smoothly. The candidate will be responsible for both children on occasion.

About the Family:
  • Dual working parents with private office spaces.
  • Mom will be on maternity leave and around throughout the day; her focus will be on the baby.
About the Pets:
  • Two sweet dogs live in the home. They would love the FA to walk them and take them to appointments.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • Standard Family Assistant duties include, childcare, school drop-offs and pick-ups, transportation to activities and appointments, planning engaging activities and outings, children's meal and snack preparation, laundry, organization, maintaining children's bedrooms, playrooms, and belongings, running family errands, grocery shopping, household inventory management, light family meal preparation, loading and unloading the dishwasher, tidying common living areas, organizing and maintaining household spaces, coordinating service providers and home maintenance appointmentsas requested, managing family calendars and schedules, scheduling appointment, pet care including dog walking and appointments, accepting deliveries and doing returns.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 3+ years of nanny experience with infants and toddlers.
  • Previous experience with household management duties as a nanny manager or family assistant.
  • The family is looking for a warm, energetic, and engaging FA who genuinely enjoys being an active part of the children's daily lives. Their previous nanny was very intentional about creating meaningful experiences, planning fun themed days such as Space Day, organizing crafts, and incorporating hands-on activities that encouraged creativity and learning.
  • All candidates considered must have good driving records and be willing to work when the children are slightly under the weather.
  • The ideal candidate is warm, positive, active, and education-focused, intentionally creating engaging learning opportunities through crafts, outings, and age-appropriate activities while remaining fully present with the children. They will be a safe driver, knowledgeable about current childcare best practices, flexible with schedule changes, proactive around the home, and adaptable to the evolving needs of the family.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $33-$37+/hr (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this amounts to an annualized compensation of $68,000-$80,000 (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including guaranteed hours, 10 days of paid time off, select paid major holidays, paid sick days, and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including Tdap.
