Located at: Arvada

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Thursday, two days from 12pm to 7:30pm and then two days additional days until 6:30 p.m. plus one date night/day per month. The family is happy to guarantee 30 hours per week. Fridays off!

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

Children's Ages: Light childcare will be for two children ages 9 and 13.

About the Children:

Both children are in school full time, so primary childcare will be after school. The family's oldest is independent and involved in a number of sports, including volleyball. The youngest is also very active and in after-school sports. He also enjoys magnetic tiles and Legos. The majority of the role will be supporting the children and getting them to and from activities ( with the family car).

About the Family:

Dual working parents who work hybrid schedules in and out of the home.

About the Pets:

Two fur babies live in the home: a well-behaved German shepherd and a cat.

Additional Notes:

This family has a great relationship with their last nanny, who was with them for 5 years!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties, including light cooking, following recipes, unloading and loading the dishwasher, family laundry, light housekeeping, organizational projects, pet care, specialty errands, research, and grocery shopping.

Travel Requirements:

Travel is not required, but the family will require house and pet sitting.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 years of family assiaint or household management experience.
Must be a good driver with less than 2 tickets or accidents in the last 7 years.
A Spanish-speaking candidate would be nice, but not required.
The ideal candidate will be a warm, dedicated professional who becomes a true extension of the family.
A kind and proactive nature is a must, along with a great communicator and self-starter—someone who can anticipate the family's needs and take initiative without needing constant direction.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys staying busy, can recognize what needs to be done around the home, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
A love for driving is essential, as the position requires regular after-school transportation for the children, including carpools with their friends (a car will be provided). The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple drop-offs and pick-ups, and staying organized with after-school sports schedules, school projects, and household logistics.
Independence, reliability, and the ability to multitask are key to succeeding in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $29-$35/hour (gross) at 30 hours a week.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, an additional week between Christmas and New Year's, paid holidays, paid sick days, and a car for driving on the job.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
