Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The candiate can choose either Monday through Friday 8/9 a.m. to 4/5 p.m. OR Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for six children ages 11, 10, 7, 5, 3, and 1 year old.
About the Children:
  • Mom homeschools the 3 older children, so this role will primarily focus on caring for the 3 younger ones and supporting the family’s day-to-day rhythm.

  • Their 11-year-old daughter is so sweet, a mother hen, knows where everything is in the house, and is an amazing big sister and finds joy in helping with anything.

  • Their 10-year-old son is independent, quiet and a little shy, likes to play legos, video games, is super smart, curious, funny, does his own thing and doesn't need a ton of stimulation.
  • Their 7-year-old daughter is so sweet and funny,  independent, loves going out places, loves seeing the world around her, enjoys going on walks, and being social.
  • Their 5-year-old boy is active, energetic, will start homeschooling next year and is such a helper and a good boy. His best friend is his younger brother.
  • Their 3-year-old son is curious and mischievous. He is attached to his older brother and loves to play with his trains.
  • Their youngest is 13 months and is a sweet active toddler.
About the Family:
  • Mom is a stay-at-home parent.
  • Dad works full-time from home in his private office space, a detached casita.
  • This is an amazing laid-back, easy going family who truly values quality care and are desiring a nanny to become a member of their family and grow with them for years to come.

About the Pets:
  • This family has one small dog - all candidates must be pet friendly.
Additional Notes:
  • This family has a great relationship with their last bilingual nanny/FA, and are eager to hire someone equally as talented.
  • Family also employs a housekeeper and someone who prepares meals, so this role is strictly child-related and family-assisting.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • This role is a mix of childcare and family assistant duties while the older children are home-schooled. Family needs support with light child-related household tasks and general tidying up, as well as preparing meals for the kids, children’s laundry, occasional loads of family laundry, errands, and general home organization.

  • Assist with light errands, and driving older children to activities when needed.

  • Help with child-related organization and routines (tidying play areas, children’s laundry, etc.

Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 5+ years of childcare experience with infants, toddlers and school-age children.

  • Previous experience as a nanny.

  • Must have experience working with 3 children at a time.

  • Must be fluent in Spanish to be considered for this position. Mom is bilingual and prefers a Family Assistant who is also.

  • Must be able to swim and run after a toddler.

  • The ideal candidate for this role is a high-energy, proactive, and engaged individual who thrives in a busy, active household. Further, candidates must be reliable, flexible, and collaborative — a true team player.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $62,400 - $72,800 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and a vehicle to drive on the job.
Any Additional Perks:
  • The family is open to offering a health insurance stipend based on the candidate's overall compensation.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Are 20+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
